North Carolina is headed to baseball National Championship Series.

UNC has ridden elite pitching their last 4 games. On Wednesday, the Tar Heels bats got hot, and they defeated West Virginia 12-7 to advance to the Championship series. The Tar Heels are the 2nd team from the ACC to make it to the Final 2 of a major sport. Miami pulled the trick in …

What’s next for UNC in the CWS, as their pitching continues to dominate.

In a post-season where the ACC fell flat, one ACC baseball team has stood tall, and continues to stand tall – the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Tar Heels pitching was very good all year. At times it was elite, but it’s gone into overdrive in the post-season. In the last 4 games against NCAA …

More than half of ACC is in top 50 of 2027 football recruiting.

There are just under 6 months until the December National Football Signing Day. I’m not sure if high school recruiting is as critical as it was in the past with the transfer portal, but make no mistake, it’s still pretty important. Following a resurgent 2025 in football, the gains are being shown on the recruiting …

North Carolina Tar Heels get huge opening win in Omaha over Ole Miss.

I said this on Tuesday in a preview article about the CWS.  If North Carolina can beat Ole Miss in their opening game, I give them a great shot to appear in the College World Series championship. Anyone in the CWS is dangerous, but this looks like a UNC/Ole Miss bracket.   I still believe …

College Athletics must make a stand against ridiculous Brandon Sorsby ruling.

The downward spiral of college athletics has reached a watershed moment. A Texas judge ruled that Brandon Sorsby would be eligible to play football for Texas Tech in 2026. Sorsby bet on sports, and he bet on his own team. You can commit crimes, fail to meet academic standards, abuse the portal, and more, but …

UNC is one game from Omaha and CWS after pitching masterpiece.

In the NCAA tournament post-season, there is one constant – Good pitching usually beats good offense. So far in the super regionals, 7 of the 9 games were won when teams kept their opposition to 4 runs or less. Give me a strong pitching staff over a great offense all day, every day. That’s what …

We have an ACC preview of the 2026 Super Regionals. We’ll actually, it is just UNC as ACC teams flamed out during regionals. ACC Bowl schedule released for 2026

For once, the ACC doesn’t come to a bowl season where the league says what went wrong. This time, the ACC, after a 9-5 bowl season, can feel pretty good. Sure, bowls other than the playoffs are taken with a grain of salt, but you know the ACC would have gotten beat up if their …

Georgia Tech continues to torture fanbase on the national stage in every major sport.

It happened again. Georgia Tech, with a supremely talented baseball team, choked on the national stage again. Make that 8 straight losses with Super Regionals on the line for Georgia Tech, who haven’t made Super Regionals in 20 years and counting. They blew an 8-2 lead Saturday night, and a 7-3  7th inning lead Monday …

Better Day 2 of NCAA Baseball Tournament for much of ACC.

Friday was a trainwreck for the ACC after a 3-6 start, but Saturday was far more respectable. UNC moved within 1 game of the Super Regional after a 7-5 win over East Carolina. Good luck to ECU or VCU winning back to back games and keeping the Heels and that pitching staff from advancing. Georgia …
