Every football season, ESPN becomes ESECPN. SEC football teams get the prime-time spots, the ABC coverage, and usually even the best ESPN spots. There is one weekend a year where ESPN treats the ACC well. It’s Labor Day weekend, and on this weekend, the ACC gets the exposure you’d expect from their television partner.
Georgia Tech, Miami, Stanford, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, SMU all getting prime spots. Clemson is getting Gameday with LSU. That’s 7 ACC teams getting great TV spots.
Let’s hope ESPN can keep some semblance of quality coverage for the rest of the year. The conference
