2025 Week 7 ACC Football Power Rankings

ACC Team of the Week : Pitt – for a 34-31  win over Florida State

17. Boston College (1-5, 0-4)

Last Week: 17

There are several candidates for the most disappointing ACC team, but it might be Boston College. They could easily lose to UConn this week.

16. North Carolina (2-3, 0-1)

Last Week: 16

North Carolina is going to Cal this weekend, and that’s all I can say about that.

15. Stanford  (2-4, 1-2)

Last Week: 15

Could Stanford send FSU to 0-4 in the ACC? I doubt it, but then again, the Noles haven’t won an ACC game in over a year.

14. Virginia Tech (2-5, 1-2)

Last Week: 10

Virginia Tech has a BYE week to deal with a bunch of injuries. At 2-5 the season is just about lost.

13. Syracuse (3-3, 1-2)

Last week: 9

Syracuse has been in freefall since beating Clemson. This week, they have Pitt at home.

12. California  (4-2, 1-1)

Last Week: 12

Cal gets UNC at home this week. The Heels can get anyone’s season back on track.

11. Florida State (3-3, 0-3)

Last Week: 5

Florida State has now lost 10 of its last 11 ACC games after losing to Pittsburgh. Could they really lose at Stanford? The Alabama win seems like an eternity ago.

10. NC State (4-3, 1-2)

Last Week: 8

NC State hung in there with Notre Dame for a little while, but the Wolfpack never really had a chance to win the game. The Wolfpack is a very average team.

9. Wake Forest (4-2, 1-1)

Last Week: 11

Wake Forest gets a well-earned week off after a 4-2 first half of the season. Yes, they can reach a bowl game.

8. Clemson (3-3, 2-2)

Last Week: 9

Clemson looks better, but is it the competition after beating UNC and BC, or are they turning the corner? We’ll find out against SMU this weekend.

7. Pitt (4-2, 2-1)

Last week: 10

Pitt looks to have their QB of the future with Mason Heintschel. The sent FSU to 0-3 in the ACC, and now play reeling Syracuse. Pitt could still be a factor in the ACC race.

6. SMU  (4-2, 2-0)

Last Week: 7

SMU is still undefeated in the ACC, as they go on the road to face Clemson this week.

5. Louisville (4-1, 1-1)

Last Week 6

Louisville heads to Miami to play a Canes team that might be the nation’s best team.

4. Duke (4-2, 3-0)

Last Week:4

Duke is favored to beat Georgia Tech this week. Duke will just have as much pressure to win as 6-0 Georgia Tech.

3. Virginia  (5-1, 2-0)

Last Week: 3

Virginia gets a Washington State team that nearly won at Ole Miss this week. WSU won’t be sneaking up on UVa this week.

2. Georgia Tech (6-0, 3-0)

Last Week : 2

Georgia Tech may need its best game of the year to win at Duke this week. It will be tough, but Georgia Tech can prove they are a true playoff contender by winning.

1. Miami (5-0, 1-0)

Last Week: 1

Miami is back this week with a bit of a tricky game hosting Louisville. The Canes should be ready coming off a BYE week.
