The ACC’s 15 best Conference Football Games for 2025 (6-10)

May is usually the time to start thinking about the college football season. We’re a little early to start a player analysis, but it’s time for a deep dive into the schedule. We’ve already looked at the ACC’s 10  best OOC games,  and now it’s time to check in on one of the ACC’s best conference games of the season, moving on to games 6-10.

Games 1 – 5 | Games 11 – 15

6) Florida State at Clemson –  November 8, 2025

Thanks to Florida State being the worst team in the ACC in 2024, a conference game that should never be outside the top 3 in the ACC is. Florida State at Clemson is lucky to still remain 6th on this list after the Noles past season. That said, when both teams are right, there’s not a better matchup in the ACC over the last 15 years. Clemson is going to be just fine, but can FSU rebound? If they do, this game can match previous years’ pre-game hype.

7) Miami at Florida State   –  October 4, 2025

If Florida State / Clemson is the ACC’s best rivalry of the past 15 years, then Florida State / Miami is the conference’s best historical and traditional rivalry. Again, it loses some luster with FSU’s decline in 2024, but there is so much history in this one that you can’t ignore it. It was arguably the best rivalry in college football from the late 80s to the early 2000s. There have been flashes since then, and if the Noles can get back, it’s a must watch again.

8) Syracuse at Georgia Tech  –  October 25, 2025

Syracuse is coming off a 10-win season in Fran Brown’s first year. Georgia Tech had really good moments last year, too. In 2024 Syracuse announced that it could be a special season when they knocked off a ranked Georgia Tech team early in the season. There’s a little spice to this one, with Fran Brown taking things to a personal level in motivating his team for last year’s game. The Jackets themselves are looking for revenge after last year’s loss.

9) North Carolina at NC State  – November 29, 2025

NC State has taken control of this rivalry in recent years, winning the last four. Bill Belichick brings even more attention to this game, but there’s a lot on the line for NC State’s Dave Doeren too. Doeren has been at NC State since 2013 and has never had a 10-win season, and last year went 6-7. This is a big year for him, and there’s going to be a lot on the line in this game for both coaches.

10) Virginia Tech at Virginia – November 29, 2025

This year’s Commonwealth Cup could have two coaches coaching for their lives. Brent Pry and Tony Elliot have had some good games in their tenure, but they are too few and far between. These coaches need wins, and I expect this game will be one of those much-needed wins. Virginia fans will cringe at the single win in this rivalry since 2003. This is one of the fiercest rivalries in the ACC.
