We are an ACC blog here obviously, and we’ve covered the ACC’s best conference games for 2025, and the ACC’s best non-conference games.
What 10 games that don’t feature an ACC team are we most looking forward to catching?
Here are games 6-10.
6) LSU at Alabama – November 8, 2025
There is just something about LSU and Alabama that screams late October and early November. The games are typically close, have playoff implications, and have some of the best athletes in the country playing. Last year, Alabama played their best game of the season, destroying LSU 42-13 in Baton Rouge. LSU will be looking for revenge as both teams aim for the playoffs.
7) Kansas State vs Iowa State – August 23, 2025
Last year, the Week 0 game between Georgia Tech vs Florida State got the college football season off to a stirring start. Kansas State vs Iowa State has a chance to do the same. This Week 0 game is between what should be two contenders in the Big 12, and I’m really starting to get on board with these types of conference matchups to start the season off. Good for Kansas State and Iowa State for scheduling. It’s good exposure for both teams and the Big 12.
8) Army vs Navy, December 13, 2024
Come on it’s Army Navy… If you can’t enjoy this rivalry game, something is just wrong with you.
9) Utah at BYU, October 18, 2025
I love historical, traditional rivalry games. Give me a historical, deeply rooted matchup over any manufactured new realignment matchup. Utah vs BYU has always been the biggest matchup in the state of Utah, but the Holy War looked in trouble after their last matchup in 2021. This time, conference realignment brought back the historic matchup as a Big 12 conference game, and that’s a good thing. This should be a lot of fun and a great atmosphere.
10) Alabama at South Carolina, October 25, 2025
South Carolina came within an eyelash of making the playoffs last year, and so did Alabama. South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers could be a Heisman candidate, and the environment at Williams-Brice will be absolutely electric. I have a feeling this will be a top 10 or top 15 matchup.
