We are generally very kind here at All Sports Discussion – and do not blast bad takes. We’ve seen a lot of dumb tweets in our time at All Sports Discussion – and that’s saying a lot in that we’ve seen many tweets from January 2017 to January 2021 – and also January 2025 to the present – but I think we found one of the dumbest we’ve seen in a long time:

Taking the Maryland football job would be akin to telling someone that they should bang their head against the wall – and tell them to stop banging their head against the wall because it will feel good when they stop. Especially if you’re a good coach – and will have substantially better options. At a minimum, Wake Forest can sweeten Jake Dickert’s salary – and at a maximum – he will find a better job than Maryland. Just an absolutely crazy take to even suggest that Jake Dickert take the Maryland job. Why would anyone want to commit career suicide by going to College Park, MD as a head coach?
This is a case where I think the new thing on Twitter – because no one can read all the likes on Twitter anymore – is to count the number of views. This could be a case where mofos are just trying to up the count on their views so they say something epically stupid AF.
