February 26, 2026 ACC Basketball Power Rankings

We also take a guess at where the NCAA tournament cutline should be.

Stats come from https://www.warrennolan.com/

18. Georgia Tech (11-17, 2-13) NET 171, RPI 228

Last Week : 18

Georgia Tech has locked down the spot of the worst team in the ACC. The season has turned into an absolute trainwreck. They host FSU and Cal this week as the season can’t end fast enough.

17. Notre Dame (12-16, 3-12) NET 95, RPI 120

Last week: 16

Notre Dame’s season has been an unmitigated disaster. They get NC State and Stanford at home this week.

16. Pitt (10-18, 3-12) NET 122, RPI 184

Last week: 17

Pitt is just glad Notre Dame and Georgia Tech are in the league. They play at Cal and get FSU at home.

15. Boston College (10-18, 3-12) NET 166, RPI 227

Last Week: 16

Boston College is awful, but they play hard. The last-second win over Wake Forest had to feel good. They head to Miami and Virginia Tech this week.

14. Wake Forest (14-13, 5-9) NET 65, RPI 82

Last Week: 14

Steve Forbes has to go right? The loss to BC was brutal. They host Syracuse and go to Virginia this week. The Deacs shouldn’t be this bad.

13. Syracuse (15-13, 6-9) NET 77, RPI 89

Last week: 13

Syracuse has been a big disappointment this season in the ACC. They go to Wake Forest and Louisville this week.

12. Stanford  (17-11, 6-9) NET 75, RPI 66

Last Week: 12

Stanford has faint NCAA hopes, but if they sweep SMU and the road game at Notre Dame, they’d at least be on the bubble.

11. Florida State (14-14, 7-8) NET 82, RPI 88

Last Week: 11

Despite the loss to Miami, I still like how FSU is trending. They have road trips to Georgia Tech and Pitt upcoming.

10. Virginia Tech (18-10, 7-8) NET 50, RPI 46

Last Week: 10

Somehow, Virginia Tech has to find a way to win 2 of its last 3. If they could somehow win at UNC, then beat BC, they could get on the bubble.

9. California  (19-8, 8-7) NET 57, RPI 58

Last Week: 11

Cal got a huge win over SMU. Now win their last 3 against Pitt, at Georgia Tech, and at Wake Forest, and they are going dancing. I think just 2 out of 3 makes it.

8. Clemson (20-8, 10-5) NET 38, RPI 42

Last Week: 8

Clemson is on a 4-game losing streak and playing their worst basketball of the season. This week won’t get easier as they host Louisville and head to UNC.

7. SMU  (19-9, 8-7) NET 30, RPI 29

Last Week: 7

SMU is safely in the NCAA’s right now, but the finishing kick isn’t easy. Games at Stanford, then Miami at home. SMU just needs a .500 finish in the ACC. Don’t get swept.

6. NC State (19-9, 10-5) NET 28, RPI 33

Last Week: 4

NC State has lost 3 of their last 4, and defensively, they’ve regressed to their November/December form. They go to Notre Dame and host Duke this week.

5. Miami (22-6, 11-4)  NET 34, RPI 50

Last Week:

The 10-point win at FSU was impressive. The Canes host Boston College and head to SMU this week.

4. Louisville (20-8, 9-6) NET 16, RPI 27

Last Week: 3

Louisville drops below UNC because of their recent loss to them. A game at Clemson and a home game with Syracuse are ahead.

3. North Carolina (22-6, 10-5) NET 25, RPI 7

Last Week: 4

Hubert Davis has navigated the Caleb Wilson injury very well. This week, North Carolina hosts Virginia Tech and Clemson as the Heels try to improve their NCAA seeding.

2. Virginia  (25-3, 13-2) NET 13, RPI 15

Last Week: 2

The nation needs to catch up to how good Virginia is. They head to Duke in a massive game before hosting Wake Forest.

1. Duke (26-2, 14-1) NET 1, RPI 2

Last Week: 1

After beating Michigan and destroying Notre Dame, Duke looks every bit the best team in college basketball. Virginia and a game at NC State will be tough tests.
