CBS, TNT, TBS, and TruTV Could Have Hired Former UVA Basketball Coach, Tony Bennett, As An Analyst

Good evening, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans.

I think we can agree:  At this point, the CBS/TNT/TBS/TruTV hire of Bruce Pearl, former Auburn men’s basketball coach has been a failure.  There’s no other way to describe that – but our friends at @AwfulAnnouncing chronicle this in many ways.  We appreciate them. After all, it takes a lot of work to chronicle the fact that Bruce Pearl just should not have been at CBS in the first place.  Again, shout out to Awful Announcing.

And this is where I take issue with CBS/TNT/TBS/TruTV:  With the amount of resources these organizations have, they could have hired someone so much better.  And that person is Tony Bennett – why they don’t boot Bruce Pearl of the stage and hire Tony Bennett is beyond me.  Here – you have guy in Bennett who lost to a 16-seed, but also  has won a national college basketball title so he knows how to motivate players. Note:  Pearl never did with a national title with that SEC money from either Tennessee or Auburn.

Hello – Tony Bennett is actually working with the Los Angeles Lakers as an NBA draft advisor.

There’s still time for CBS/TNT/TBS/TruTV to make the switch from Pearl to Bennett for the rest of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
