Don’t doubt Roy, North Carolina back in the title game.

The Tar Heels are back in the Title Game game for the 2nd straight year. One thing that should come to an end is questioning Roy Williams coaching ability. He is one of the best of all time. That’s a fact. He’s been to 9 Final Fours, and 2 National Titles – with a chance …

NIT Championship loss doesn’t detract from Josh Pastner’s solid first season at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech lost in the NIT Championship game 88-56 to TCU. The Horned Frogs were the better team. They spread Georgia Tech defensively out and seemed to knock down every open shot. It was a tough way for the Yellow Jackets to finish a 21-16 season. That said the loss shouldn’t take away from Josh …

So did you have a Final Four or Oregon, Gonzaga, South Carolina, and North Carolina? Check out SI.com’s preview of the Final Four.  North Carolina has the highest ceiling of any of the teams. When they shredded the field in Maui, it was the best basketball I’ve seen from any team this year. That …

North Carolina shows tons of heart and guts in getting back to Final 4.

For a program unfairly or not that gets often gets questioned for it’s hearts, guts, and toughness, the North Carolina Tar Heels showed a ton of it against the Kentucky Wildcats in their Elite 8 win. The best stretch of basketball I’ve seen this year has been when the North Carolina destroyed a quality field …

@dennisdoddcbs and @dcaraviello call out SI Kid’s Reporter at NCAAs, then have to apologize.

You know that filter in your head that stops you from saying what you are thinking? For a couple of members of the sports media, that little filter apparently stopped working. @dcaraviello of the @PostandCourier and @dennisdoddcbs of CBSSports.com had these comments about about a SI Kid Reporter asking questions at the NCAA Tournament. SI for KIds reporter is cute and all, but …

ACC – ripped for NCAA performance, but were signs there for a collapse?

For the ACC it’s been a lot of good in the last few years – 2 Football National Titles, a slew of Big 6 bowl wins, a recent dominance over the SEC in football, 11 Sweet 16 teams the last two years, 7 Elite 8 teams, 3 Final Four teams, and a national title. It …

What does the early lack of upsets and draw mean about the NCAA Field?

By NCAA tournament standards, let’s be honest this has been a kind of dull tournament. Has their been a signature moment yet? An epic upset? No and no… What is this telling us about the field? Coming in we knew the bubble was really weak. Those 7-11 seeds at large bids, were a lot of …

The ACC was decent, but not great on Day 1 of the NCAA Tournament.

The ACC was 13 points from going 0-4 on day 1 of the NCAA tournament. With that said the name of the game is survive and advance, and that’s what 3 of the 4 ACC teams playing Thursday did. Notre Dame beat Princeton 60-58. Virginia defeat UNC-Wilmington 76-61. Florida State got by Florida Gulf Coast …

Clemson blog ShakintheSouthland makes the case against Brad Brownell.  You know what we think here…. 3 …
