Last year, Virginia got a bid to the NCAA tournament as a last-four team. They deserved the bid, but they received a lot of criticism for their inclusion. They promptly went out and lost by 25 to Colorado State.
This year, the committee made the correct decision and included UNC in the field. They are taking as much if not more criticism than Virginia last year.
It’s simple for UNC, go out and win.
All year, UNC has proven it can play 37 Minutes with just about anyone in college basketball, but it hasn’t been able to close out games against NCAA caliber teams.
If they can beat San Diego State, I give them a pretty good chance to beat an Ole Miss team that went 3-5 in their last 8 games, and an Iowa State team that is the walking wounded. The Tar Heels just need that 1 win to get that positive momentum going.
Here’s your chance Tar Heels, to prove your critics wrong because there are a lot of them.
As far as their inclusion, if you’re mad have a tissue.
