2025 Week 6 ACC Football Power Rankings

ACC Team of the Week : Miami – for a 28-22  win over Florida State

17. Boston College (1-4, 0-3)

Last Week: 17

Boston College is a bad team that seems to be getting worse. Do they have anything for a Clemson team trying to get their season back on track?

16. North Carolina (2-3, 0-1)

Last Week: 16

North Carolina has become a national laughingstock. This is not what Bill Belichick was hired for. The Heels are thankfully off this week.

15. Stanford  (2-3, 1-1)

Last Week: 15

Stanford heads to SMU this week thinking upset. Yea that’s probably not going to happen.

14. Virginia Tech (2-4, 1-1)

Last Week: 10

Virginia Tech had a bit of momentum, and it was erased in a home loss to Wake Forest. Now they head to Georgia Tech to face a Yellow Jacket team coming off a BYE week

13. Syracuse (3-3, 1-2)

Last week: 9

Syracuse hasn’t been heard from since they beat Clemson. They have a BYE week to get things right and try to save the season.

12. California  (4-2, 1-1)

Last Week: 8

When Cal is good, they are pretty good. When they are bad they are awful, and they were awful after the 1st quarter against Duke. They are off this week to try and regroup.

11. Wake Forest (3-2, 1-1)

Last Week: 14

Wake Forest put the tough Georgia Tech loss behind them to win at Virginia Tech. Oregon State could get them one step closer to a bowl game.

10. Pitt (3-2, 1-1)

Last week: 13

Pitt showed some life against Boston College. Can they take it on the road against Florida State?

9. Clemson (2-3, 1-2)

Last Week: 12

Clemson finally beat a P4 team or something that resembled one in UNC. Clemson needs to keep the momentum going against an equally terrible BC team.

8. NC State (4-2, 1-2)

Last Week: 11

NC State easily handled Campbell, but Notre Dame is going to be a totally different animal, and they are eyeing a playoff run.

7. SMU  (3-2, 1-0)

Last Week: 7

SMU took care of Syracuse, and with Stanford next, they could be 4-2, 2-0 before heading to Clemson.

6. Louisville (4-1, 1-1)

Last Week 5

Louisville blew a major opportunity to assert itself in the ACC when it lost at home to Virginia. They get an extra week off to think about it before playing Miami.

5. Florida State (3-2, 0-2)

Last Week: 4

Florida State has lost 9 of its last 10 ACC games. That win over Alabama will only carry FSU so far. If they can’t beat Pitt at home, the season could totally fall off the rails.

4. Duke (4-2, 3-0)

Last Week:6

Duke is on a roll. The offense is firing on all cylinders, and they have won three games in a row after winning at Cal 45-21. They get two weeks to prepare for Georgia Tech.

3. Virginia  (5-1, 2-0)

Last Week: 3

Virginia validated the win over FSU with a win at Louisville. They are a legitimate threat to make it to the ACC Title game. That BYE week is going to be real nice for the Hoos.

2. Georgia Tech (5-0, 2-0)

Last Week : 2

Georgia Tech is coming off a BYE week, and gets Virginia Tech at home. Teams that want to get to Charlotte don’t lose to the Hokies at home.

1. Miami (5-0, 1-0)

Last Week: 1

If we’re basing the #1 team in the country on resume, it’s Miami, period. They went to FSU and led the Noles 28-3 after 3 quarters, before they took the foot off the gas. Enjoy the BYE week Canes.
