ACC Team of the Week : Duke  – for a 27-20  win over Virginia

17. Syracuse (3-9, 1-7)

Last week: 16

Syracuse was really, really bad by the end of the season.

16. Boston College (2-10, 1-7)

Last Week: 17

Boston College proved they aren’t as bad as Syracuse by knocking them off to end the season.

15. North Carolina (4-8, 2-6)

Last Week: 15

North Carolina was a story this season for all the wrong reasons.

14. Virginia Tech (3-9, 2-6)

Last Week: 14

Did you see James Franklin pull the recruiting class together?

13. Florida State (5-7, 2-6)

Last Week: 13

Florida State as a program is a trainwreck.

12. Stanford  (4-8, 3-5)

Last Week: 12

Stanford has a new coach Tavita Pritchard. The 4-8 season wasn’t as bad as many thought it could have been.

11. Wake Forest (8-4, 4-4)

Last Week: 11

Wake Forest gets Mississippi State in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. A 9th win would be a remarkable season for Wake Forest.

10. Louisville (8-4, 4-4)

Last Week 9

Louisville absolutely better beat Toledo for that 9th win in the Boca Raton Bowl. The game is on December 23rd.

9. California  (7-5, 4-4)

Last Week: 8

Cal and Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl just sounds and feels right on Christmas Eve.

8. NC State (7-5, 4-4)

Last Week: 7

NC State goes for its 8th win against Memphis in the Gasparilla Bowl. For everything that the Wolfpack went through, that wouldn’t be a bad season at all.

7. Clemson (7-5, 4-4)

Last Week: 6

Clemson and Penn State play in the failed expecatations bowl, otherwise known as the Pinstripe Bowl. Still, that would be a nice brand name for Clemson to knock off.

6. Duke (8-5, 6-2)

Last Week:10

Duke makes a big move after winning the ACC. Now they get Arizona State in the Sun Bowl on December 31 in what should be a wild affair.

5. SMU  (8-4, 6-2)

Last Week: 5

A January 2nd Holiday Bowl with Arizona should be very entertaining.

4. Georgia Tech (9-3, 6-2)

Last Week : 4

8-0 Georgia Tech or the one that nearly beat Georgia wins by 14 against BYU. The NC State, BC, Pitt version loses by 14 in the Pop Tarts bowl on Dec 27.

3. Pitt (8-4, 6-2)

Last week: 3

Pitt gets always dangerous East Carolina on Dec 27 in the Military Bowl.

2. Virginia  (10-3, 7-1)

Last Week: 2

Virginia missed an opportunity to make the playoffs with their loss to Duke. It’s still been a great season for the Hoos as they prepare for the Gator Bowl and Missouri.

1. Miami (10-2, 6-2)

Last Week: 1

Miami makes the CFP, and there should be no debate on that. Now they have a chance to make some real noise in the playoffs, starting with Texas A&M.

Hilarious that #12 Wake Forest Got the Higher bowl than #3 Pitt.A couple of years ago I sat with an NC fan at a game. His famous words were all ties , oh right this wasn’t a tie, go to Tobacco Road. If you’re gonna do it to Pitt don’t make it so obvious Really sad
