Boston College had Georgia Tech beat, then Haynes King. Syracuse is their last chance at an ACC win.
16. Syracuse (3-7, 1-6)
Last week: 16
Syracuse finishes the season with Boston College, so there’s that.
15. Stanford (3-7, 2-5)
Last Week: 14
It’s Stanford and Cal week. There are rumors that Stanford has found their coach for next year.
14. North Carolina (4-6, 2-4)
Last Week: 13
North Carolina has to knock off reeling Duke to have any chance at a bowl game.
13. Virginia Tech (3-7, 2-4)
Last Week: 12
Who cares about the Miami game? Virginia Tech won the James Franklin sweepstakes.
12. Florida State (5-5, 2-5)
Last Week: 15
Florida State is showing some life at the end of the year, but they head to always tricky NC State.
11. Duke (5-5, 4-2)
Last Week:9
Duke has just fallen apart over the last two weeks, and was trounced at home by Virginia. Now they have to head to arch rival UNC.
10. NC State (5-5, 2-4)
Last Week: 7
NC State was no match for Miami, but they are back at home, where they are much better. They host FSU this week.
9. Wake Forest (7-3, 4-3)
Last Week: 11
Wake Forest should be a stunning 8-3 after facing Delaware. What a season so far for the Deacs.
8. Louisville (7-3, 4-3)
Last Week 5
Louisville has played itself right out of the ACCCG chase. Now they are relegated to a spoiler at SMU.
7. Clemson (5-5, 4-4)
Last Week: 10
Clemson surprised a lot of peopleby winning at Louisville. They’ll get bowl eligible with Furman next.
6. California (6-4, 3-3)
Last Week: 8
Cal gets Stanford this week after a week off. An 8-4 finish could happen.
5. SMU (7-3, 5-1)
Last Week: 6
SMU is still alive for an ACCCG appearance. They have to beat Louisville, and root hard for Pitt this weekend.
4. Pitt (7-3, 5-1)
Last week: 1
Pitt didn’t look like they belonged on the field with Notre Dame, but you can bet they are still capable of beating Georgia Tech.
3. Virginia (9-2, 6-1)
Last Week: 4
Virginia was the ACC team of the week. They went to Duke and smashed the Blue Devils. Now they have BYE before Virginia Tech and a potential berth in the ACCCG.
2. Miami (8-2, 4-2)
Last Week: 3
Miami looked the playoff part destroying NC State. They are up to 13, and need to look impressive against Virginia Tech.
1. Georgia Tech (9-1, 6-1)
Last Week : 2
Georgia Tech’s defense is just plain broken, but they have Haynes King and the #1 offense in college football. Beat Pitt and it’s Charlotte. Lose and it will be the season of what could have been.
