It’s well documented how Texas Tech, through billionaire boosters like Cody Cambell has reinvented their athletics. Texas Tech appeared in the college football playoffs, has a top 25 basketball team, and its softball team nearly won a national title. The ACC may have its version of Texas Tech in SMU on the way. SMU is another Texas school with mega booster capability.
SMU could be looking at another $100 Million into their athletics.
Some of the rest of the ACC better get their finances in order because SMU has some backing.
Once again, SMU backs up talk for great athletics with “transformative” commitment.
$50 million already in, another $50 million expected.
