Don’t doubt Roy, North Carolina back in the title game.

The Tar Heels are back in the Title Game game for the 2nd straight year. One thing that should come to an end is questioning Roy Williams coaching ability. He is one of the best of all time. That’s a fact. He’s been to 9 Final Fours, and 2 National Titles – with a chance …

NIT Championship loss doesn’t detract from Josh Pastner’s solid first season at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech lost in the NIT Championship game 88-56 to TCU. The Horned Frogs were the better team. They spread Georgia Tech defensively out and seemed to knock down every open shot. It was a tough way for the Yellow Jackets to finish a 21-16 season. That said the loss shouldn’t take away from Josh …

The NCAA won’t go to Las Vegas… Why???

As I followed along as Mark Emmert’s news conference this evening from the Final Four, I noticed a what seems to be a throw away topic. Emmert stated that Las Vegas “will not be eligible for this round.” This got me to thinking. Why does the president of the NCAA believe that Las Vegas will …

Does the #ACC Follow the NCAA on HB2? Most Likely, Yes.

Good evening, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) fans. A couple days again, we blogged about the status of future NCAA tournaments in the State of North Carolina (which, in short, is pretty much based on the repeal of HB2 in North Carolina).  For more about that, read our post here.  If you asked me today, it’s …

North Carolina shows tons of heart and guts in getting back to Final 4.

For a program unfairly or not that gets often gets questioned for it’s hearts, guts, and toughness, the North Carolina Tar Heels showed a ton of it against the Kentucky Wildcats in their Elite 8 win. The best stretch of basketball I’ve seen this year has been when the North Carolina destroyed a quality field …

@dennisdoddcbs and @dcaraviello call out SI Kid’s Reporter at NCAAs, then have to apologize.

You know that filter in your head that stops you from saying what you are thinking? For a couple of members of the sports media, that little filter apparently stopped working. @dcaraviello of the @PostandCourier and @dennisdoddcbs of CBSSports.com had these comments about about a SI Kid Reporter asking questions at the NCAA Tournament. SI for KIds reporter is cute and all, but …
