More than half of ACC is in top 50 of 2027 football recruiting.

There are just under 6 months until the December National Football Signing Day. I’m not sure if high school recruiting is as critical as it was in the past with the transfer portal, but make no mistake, it’s still pretty important.

Following a resurgent 2025 in football, the gains are being shown on the recruiting trail. Miami has become the ACC’s premier football school and is accumulating talent as well as anyone in the country. They are a consensus top 2 team in recruiting.

Clemson has slipped as a program, but it will still have some of the best talent in the ACC.

James Franklin’s reputation as an excellent recruiter is paying dividends at Virginia Tech. The Hokies have had some lean years with a decline in talent. Franklin is on his way to turning that around.

Louisville and Georgia Tech continue to look like teams that will be forces in the ACC in the coming years.

Florida State, on the other hand, should never be sitting at 9th in ACC recruiting. If Mike Norvell is ever going to figure this out, well, this isn’t the recruiting that is going to instill much confidence.
