December 1, 2025 ACC Basketball Power Rankings

We’ll add RPI Rankings when we have more data points. We also take a guess at where the NCAA tournament cutline should be.

18. Boston College (4-4, 0-0) NET 166

Last Week: N/A

Georgia Tech is glad Boston College is in the ACC. Can BC pull a surprise and beat LSU this week?

17. Georgia Tech (5-3, 0-0) NET 201

Last Week : 13

Georgia Tech looked awful in losing to DePaul and Drake this past week. Play like that against Mississippi State and it will be loss number 4, and you can pretty call it a season.

16. Syracuse (4-3, 0-0) NET 90

Last week: 15

Syracuse has lost three straight, but beating Tennessee can start making up for it.

15. Notre Dame (5-3, 0-0) NET 86

Last week: 14

Notre Dame could easily be higher as they were competitive with Kansas and Houston in losses. Missouri offers a chance to start getting things back.

14. Florida State (5-2, 0-0) NET 82

Last Week: 11

Losing by 36 to Texas A&M sets FSU back. They get a tricky Georgia team next. There’s also Houston later in the week.

13. Pitt (5-3, 0-0) NET 147

Last week: 17

Where did the last-second win over previously undefeated Ohio State come from? If Pitt beats Texas A&M at home, watch out.

12. Virginia Tech (6-2, 0-0) NET 84

Last Week: 5

Virginia Tech did not look good defensively against St. Mary’s or VCU in losses. South Carolina becomes an early season must win.

11. NC State (5-2, 0-0) NET 40

Last Week: 8

Losing to Seton Hall was surprising. A 1-2 finish in Maui wasn’t expected either, but there are decent wins against VCU and Boise State. Can they steal a game at Auburn?

10. Stanford  (6-1, 0-0) NET 107

Last Week: 16

Stanford flies up the rankings after beating Minnesota and St. Louis. The game with Portland should be no problem.

9. Miami (6-2, 0-0)  NET 38

Last Week: 12

Miami got a solid win over Georgetown. A game at Ole Miss would be a nice win if the Canes could get it.

8. Wake Forest (6-2, 0-0) NET 56

Last Week: 10

Here we go again… Wake Forest is 2 points from having wins over Texas Tech and Michigan. A sweep of Oklahoma and West Virginia this week would help a ton.

7. Virginia  (6-1, 0-0) NET 31

Last Week: 9

Virginia does have a P5 win over Northwestern. Texas will be a big test this week.

6. California  (6-1, 0-0) NET 52

Last Week: 7

California really opened some eyes, taking down a top 20 UCLA team. They could get to 11-1 before conference play begins. Don’t sleep on Utah this week.

5. Clemson (7-1, 0-0) NET 34

Last Week: 6

Clemson doesn’t have to win at Alabama, but if they do, that would open a lot of eyes.

4. North Carolina (6-1, 0-0) NET 26

Last Week: 3

Michigan State exposed some things with UNC, especially without Seth Trimble. A game at Kentucky is huge.

3. SMU  (8-0, 0-0) NET 39

Last Week: 4

SMU picked up a road win at Mississippi State. Can they get another at Vanderbilt?

2. Louisville (7-0, 0-0) NET 9

Last Week 2

Louisville has Arkansas and Indiana upcoming. A split would be fine, but get both and put Louisville in the top 5.

1. Duke (8-0, 0-0) NET 2

Last Week: 1

Duke is building a #1 seed resume. This past week, they knocked off Arkansas. This week more tests in Florida and Michigan State.
