2026 Week 1 ACC Football Power Rankings

ACC Team of the Week : SMU  – for a 27-24  win over Florida State

17. Boston College (0-1, 0-0)

Last Week: 17

Boston College can get a P4 win with Rutgers this week. This is quite the pillow fight.

16. NC State (0-1, 0-1)

Last Week: 15

NC State should get back on track against Richmond.

15. Stanford (1-1, 0-1)

Last Week: 13

Stanford looks improved, but they never had a chance against Miami.

14. Clemson (0-1, 0-0)

Last Week: 5

Clemson opens their season against Georgia Southern this weekend. The LSU game – yea Clemson no showed.

13. Florida State (1-1, 0-1)

Last Week: 12

SMU tried and tried to give FSU the game. The Noles wouldn’t take it, and in Week 3 face Alabama.

12. California (0-1, 0-0)

Last Week: 9

Cal collapsed late UCLA. Lose to Syracuse and it’s 0-2 to begin the season.

11. Georgia Tech (0-1, 0-0)

Last Week: 8

Georgia Tech offensively looked as bad as they ever have in the Brent Key era against Colorado. With Tennessee next, 0-2 is starting Georgia Tech right in the face.

10. Wake Forest (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week: 14

Wake Forest is favored at Purdue. If the Deacs win, they might be in for another suprise season.

9. Syracuse (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week: 16

Can Syracuse get 2-0 with a win over Cal?

8. Duke (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week: 11

Duke can catch folks’ attention if they can win at Illinois.

7. North Carolina (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week: 10

Why shouldn’t UNC be this high? They have the ACC’s best current win. They should get to 2-0 with ETSU this week.

6. Virginia Tech (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week: 7

Old Dominion has caused Virginia Tech problems in the past. I think this year will be different.

5. Pitt (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week: 6

Big chance for Pitt to get a P4 win over UCF this weekend.

4. Louisville (0-1, 0-0)

Last Week: 4

It took a last-second FG by Ole Miss to beat Louisville as the Cardinals matched the Rebels point for point. Villanova should get Louisville in the win column.

3. SMU (1-0, 1-0)

Last Week: 3

SMU played sloppily at FSU, and still left with a win. UC-Davis shouldn’t be a problem.

2. Virginia (1-0, 1-0)

Last Week: 2

Virginia should easily move to 2-0 against Norfolk State.

1. Miami (1-0, 1-0)

Last Week: 1

Miami looked the part of a national title contender at Stanford. Florida A&M will allow about 100 Miami players to get in the game
