Recruiting is the lifeblood of college football. Don’t let anyone tell you that your classes ranked 50+ are going lead your school to the promised land. Sure you can provide some on off upsets, but the best teams more often than not recruit the best. That’s a fact.
Back in 2013, we noted how the ACC was having a solid recruiting year. It’s no surprise that class played a large role for the ACC being the top football conference in the land in 2016. It’s also why 2020 could be the year that’s lays the foundation for some future great ACC football years. Take note the Pac 12 was last in recruiting 2013, and went 1-8 in bowl games in 2017, and in general hasn’t been heard from on almost any level the last 5 years. There’s a lot of correlation to recruiting well and results.

With the early signing period in December, these rankings are more meaningful than years ago at this point in the year. Many schools are not that far off from being nearly done with their classes. Clemson is still Clemson. FSU and Miami always seem to have highly ranked classes, but it’s Georgia Tech, UNC, and Louisville that have used coaching changes to jump start their recruiting.

Couldn’t agree more. If Mack has one last hurrah in him, I believe UL and Tech have a good balance between coaching and Recruiting, we will be a much tougher conference in a couple years.
