Miami Duke finish was an officiating debacle for the ACC

If you follow me on twitter or read the blog, you know I almost never complain officiating. Even with the teams I root for, I don’t do it. I believe officiating is poor across the country, and if you watch enough football you’ll see missed calls in every conference for and against every team. Saturday …

Undefeated Clemson eyes playoff spot and ACC Title, but ACC king Florida State stands in the way.

Clemson is top 5 team. They are in great position for the college football playoffs. They control their own destiny for the ACC Atlantic title, ACC Title, and a playoff spot. The Tigers are 8-0, and have averaged 57 points a game in their last two outings. Standing in their way is the king of …

ACC Network Launch Delayed? It appears so or not?

The Atlanta Journal Constitution has reported the ACC Network Launch has been delayed.  Many of us expected the launch to be in 2017, but it appears ESPN has asked for delay of a couple of years. I could try to sugar coat this news, and say oh it will launch in 2019 now, but can …

Ranking the Power 5 Football Conferences after week 8 with Playoff Analysis.

The conferences are so close I can barely separate them. You know what that means, you better not lose 2 games, and no conference is getting two teams into the playoff. Let me point out on my philosophy on these rankings – you’re most recent  OOC results count a lot, and you’ll see me reference …

Left for dead and forgotten, Georgia Tech shocks Florida State and what it means for the ACC.

Georgia Tech entered the season as a darkhorse playoff contender, the massive injuries, inexperience, and just plain ole poor football had the team sitting 2-5, and 0-4 in the ACC. They were an afterthought, a forgotten team, and a disappointment. At least that’s what the rest of us thought…. Heck I went to Georgia Tech, …
