ACC Bubble Analysis for January 18, 2015
A couple of ACC teams made some real positive moves this week… find out who below. In my ranking system, any RPI top (100) win is a good win and any RPI top (50) obviously worth more. Any losses outside the RPI top (100) is considered a bad loss, and outside the RPI (150) are …

What were the recruiting rankings of this year’s Final top 25 football teams and what did we learn from them?
Recruiting is the foundation for building the best teams in college athletics. Anyone that says otherwise either doesn’t really follow college sports or supports a school that recruits poorly. That’s the conventional thought. How true is it? I decided to take the final top 25 teams from this year Coaches Poll, and pull their Scout and …

A Final 2014 Ranking of the Power 5 Football Conferences
If you have been following the blog conference rankings, it’s been more or less an eyeball test with a hefty dose of non conference results thrown in. During the regular season non-conference results are limited, but now that bowl season is over it’s good to review where each conference stands after the season. We now …

Is an ACC Network announcement nearing?
We’ve maintained here at this blog an ACC Network was going to happen. Comments back in November have led us to believe the discussions with ESPN were picking up steam, but we still haven’t received that definitive statement from the ACC that YES the Network is on the way. Some interesting comments were quoted by the …

Articles from around the ACC Blogosphere January 12, 2015
Need a little pre-National Championship game reading, or something for the Halftime? By the way I’d like to Oregon win. I think it’s good for college football to see some non-historical powers football win a title. I think you have to go back 1991 when Washington split a title with Miami to find one. The …

Where does the ACC fall behind the Pac12 and SEC in football?
There’s no question the ACC has improved as a football conference in recent years, but it is still not at the level of the Pac 12 or the SEC. The ACC did go 5-3 against the SEC, but most of that work was done by the best teams in conference. That still counts and it …

The ACC Bowl season was rough, but the conference did have some big football positives in 2014.
When you go 4-7 during bowl season like the ACC did, it’s hard to find positives. Same ole ACC from the critics who were ready to pounce. I’m not here say 4-7 was good. It certainly wasn’t. Performances by UNC, Miami, and the 4th quarter meltdown by Pittsburgh were especially ugly. Let’s not forget Boston …

Welcome back to the ACC Basketball Power Rankings.
