Ranking the 5 best Defensive Linemen in the ACC for 2013.

We are now headed to the defensive side ball, starting with the defensive line. There’s a lot of talent here in the ACC, and I had to leave some quality linemen off my top 5 list. This is a good sign that the ACC is getting better across the both lines of scrimmage. Previous Rankings …

3 Darkhorse College Football Teams that can make it to the National Title Game.

Last year Notre Dame started the season on the fringe of the top 25 in many polls, and outside the top 15 in every major poll. Which 3 teams are likely to start the season down the list of the top 25, but with a little luck can make the National Title Game? Take a …

Lebron James cements his legacy and he’s not done yet.

I haven’t blogged much about the NBA finals, but I’ve been paying attention. One thing that struck me was the amount of criticism Lebron James took when the Miami Heat lost.  He wasn’t clutch, he wasn’t living up to his potential, he doesn’t have a  jump shot. I didn’t have a rooting interest in the …

Was the ACC’s tough early non-conference football schedule a good idea?

Short post for tonight… Actually a poll question. A discussion I’ve seen among fans of ACC schools is whether it was a good idea for the ACC’s to have such a tough early non-conference schedule. You can take a look at the ACC’s football schedule here.  For example does it benefit a rebuilding Virginia team …

Final Thoughts on the 2013 US Open: Justin Rose comes through, Phil falters.

Justin Rose won the US Open with a score of +1. There were those that said Merion wouldn’t stand up to the world’s best, but it did. If you follow the blog, I had Justin Rose as one of the 10 golfers who could win this week.  Rose as a 17 year old finished 4th at …

Renew The Nickel Trophy Football Series

Winter is over –  late spring/early summer is here – and you might think to yourself that football is right around the corner.  As a former resident of North Dakota (and always proud to say I am a North Dakotan, although I live in Virginia), it is time for the people of North Dakota to …

If the Miami Heat don’t win game 4 against the Spurs, the series is over.

Just a short post for today, I’m on the road a good bit this week. I haven’t blogged much on the NBA Finals, but I thought today might be a good day to share a couple of thoughts on it. Well actually basically just one thought. If the Heat don’t win tonight, they have no …
