Articles from around the ACC Blogosphere July 16, 2012

There were some happenings going on in the ACC this week. The ACC Football Media Days  starts on July 22 and goes to July 23, but the biggest news is that it’s official Syracuse will be joining the ACC next July. They won’t have to wait until the 2014 season. I don’t think it will much longer before Pitt makes it official. This is a good thing. The sooner teams make their moves official, the sooner schedules and further bowl alliances can be made.

Here’s an article from Syracuse blog NunesMagician with a realistic and personal view of the move.  This is the part of college sports that I don’t think any of us likes and that I hope is nearing an end. Boston College is ready to resume their rivalry with Syracuse says BC Blog BCinterruption.

ACCBlogger has their preview on Georgia Tech this week.  Hmm.. 8-4 that looks about right to me.

Do you want to see the latest size and weights of this year’s Florida State roster? Tomahawknation has them.  Why does this matter? Check out the defensive players… The feeling across the nation is that this could be the Noles best defense since the late 90s. If you’re too young to remember those FSU teams, let me break it down for you. Defensive Ends faster than your Running Backs…. Picture that.

TarHeelFanBlog has update on how your favorite Tar Heels are doing in this year’s NBA Summer Camps.

BloggerSoDear review Wake Forest’s quarterbacks.  Take a look at this. If you don’t know QB Tanner Price, he’s one of the better quarterbacks in a very deep ACC at that position.
