As a RS Freshman he caught 45 passes, for 526 and 7 touchdowns. Those were all Virginia Tech records. He is a 6’6″ 244 lb matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. He’s is already getting talked about as potential 1st or 2nd round NFL pick.

2) Cam Serigne, Wake Forest

Cam Serigne had a strong freshman season at Tight End for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He 54 receptions last season for 531 yards. On a team that struggled to move the ball. Serigne was the most reliable offensive player on Wake Forest’s team.

3) David Grinnage, NC State

Here is a tight end that showed flashes last year of how good he could be. David Grinnage at 6’5″ 264 lbs is a big target. He is NC State’s 2nd leading returning receiver with 27 catches and 358 yards receiving last year. He also had 5 TD catches. I’m expecting Grinnage to have a solid 2015.

4) Braxton Deaver, Duke

I always hesitate to put a player coming off a major injury in a top 5 rankings list. You just don’t know what to expect. Duke TE Braxton Deaver missed all of last year with a torn ACL, but if he returns to his 2013 form when he caught 46 passes for 600 yards, he could challenge Bucky Hodges as the ACC’s top TE.

5) Jordan Leggett, Clemson

Jordan Leggett is a TE, I have a feeling will take the next step this year. The 6’5″ 250 lb receiver was highly regarded coming out of High School. In his first two years he’s had 26 receptions for 337 yards. Clemson has a wealth of receiving talent, and Leggett could be part of that. I think he will be a factor this year in Clemson’s high octane offense.

Make sure you follow the All Sports Discussion Twitter account at @AllSportsDACC and please like our Facebook Page

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:inline-block;width:468px;height:60px"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1227879969298088"
     data-ad-slot="1445137322"></ins>
<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:inline-block;width:468px;height:60px"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1227879969298088"
     data-ad-slot="4619304738"></ins>

It’s time to look at the best Tight Ends in the ACC, as we close out our offensive rankings.
