Pittsburgh beats UCLA in a bowl game, they would have lost in the past.

It’s been an up-and-down season for ACC football which is an upgrade over previous seasons. We’ll talk more about that later. The conference did end up with a winning bowl record (5-4) for the first time since 2018, and it was clinched by the Pittsburgh Panthers in an improbable win against one best teams an …

Will Dabo Swinney re-evaluate his Clemson program?

After a 31-14 thumping in the Orange Bowl to Tennessee, the question is not whether Dabo Swinney should re-evaluate his program. That’s an absolute no-brainer, but will he re-evaluate it? Clemson will finish the year at 11-3 and ACC Champion. It will be a top-15 season. That’s a great season for most college football programs. …

NC State’s disappointing season ends with a thud.

NC State won 8 games this year. They beat UNC, Florida State, and a pretty good Texas Tech team, and you still feel this is the season that got away from the Wolfpack. The stars aligned with QB Devin Leary returning, and a talented shutdown defense. There was talk of being ACC Champions and a …

After bowl loss, what do we make of Syracuse’s season?

If you think North Carolina had a roller-coaster season, they have nothing on Syracuse. After six games this year, the Orange were the darlings of the ACC. They were 6-0 and ranked in the top 15. Dino Babers was right there with Duke’s Mike Elko as an ACC COY candidate. This included wins against a …

The maturation of Florida State football continues with bowl win.

Florida State didn’t play their best football in a 35-32 Cheez-It Bowl win victory over Oklahoma. The Sooners came out motivated, and with an excellent offensive game plan that kept the Noles off-balance the entire game. As the Seminoles continue to re-establish their program, they did what mature football programs do. They found a way …

UNC just found ways to lose to close out the season.

On November 12th, North Carolina stood 9-1 and in the top 15 with a QB in Drake Maye in line to get to NYC and contend for a Heisman. There was even a remote shot at the playoffs. Then it all just fell apart. North Carolina started to find ways to lose in every possible …

Mike Elko and Duke blow past year 1 expectations after bowl win.

What other superlative can you use to describe Mike Elko’s first season at Duke? After a 9-4 season that included a bowl win was it astonishing, stunning, or shocking? How about all of the above and more? Before Elko’s arrival, Duke went 1-17 in the ACC, and 0-8 last year. They won only 5 total …

After another bowl victory. Wake Forest isn’t going anywhere.

When you are the Alabamas and Clemsons of the world your floor in a season is 10 maybe 11 wins. That is only for the elite of the elite programs. For 95% of college football if your floor is consistently 8 wins then you are probably one of the top 35 programs in college football, …

Reaction to signing day for the ACC

Wednesday’s National Signing Day just doesn’t have the excitement it used to have with the transfer portal now a part of the game. That said it’s still a big day, but we’d also have to look at the transfer portal rankings. Who made out in the ACC? Recruiting Rankings are pulled from Rivals.com, 247Sports, and  Transfer …

Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball Played a Sloppy, Lack of Urgent Game vs. Boston College

Good evening, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans. The Hokies are now 0-4 in the Mike Young era vs. Boston College.
