Who’s the better quarterback Eli or Peyton Manning?

After Eli Manning won his second Super Bowl to move ahead brother Peyton Manning by 1 NFL Championship, there is a simple question that must asked. Who’s better Eli Manning or Peyton Manning? When Sports and Social Media go wrong.

By now you know that the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will play each other in the Super Bowl I’m sure you also know that San Francisco 49er player Kyle Williams made two critical mistakes on punt returns that played a major role in the 49er’s loss to New York. You just …

Which Super Bowl game do you want to see?

I have to be perfectly honest, I wanted to the New Orleans Saints or Green Bay Packers to play the New England Patriots in a future Hall of Fame quarterback battle, Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers against Tom Brady. Wow would that have been fun to see, but the San Francisco 49ers and NY Giants …

What is the biggest story in the NFL so far this year?

Since all of my fantasy football teams either failed to make the playoffs or got eliminated, I now can watch the NFL games without regard for which player is getting is getting the ball the most. There are some pretty big stories going on out there too. You’ve got the Green Bay Packers who are …

I like the confused looks Tim Tebow is causing.

Just a short entry for tonight, but something I wanted to make a comment on. I not a Florida fan, and I’m not Denver Bronco fan. I’m not even  a Tim Tebow fan. It doesn’t matter  to me whether he becomes a Hall of Famer or is out of the NFL in two years. I …

Hey NFL don’t go changing running quarterbacks.

I wrote recently about Cam Newton’s early criticism being unwarranted. My main reason for that is that rookie quarterbacks in the NFL will struggle we all know that. The Carolina Panthers can do some things though to make Newton’s transition from college to the NFL easier, and Gregg Doyel of CBSSportsline makes a very good point in his article “Pocket guide …

The early criticism of Cam Newton is unwarranted.

I debated posting anything this weekend, when all of our friends from North Carolina to the North East are under a deluge of rain and wind from Hurricane Irene. I figured though some of you out there could use a distraction. Here’s hoping that all of everyone dries out quickly. I’ve been watching and reading …

2011 Philadelphia Eagles Offense: The Most Explosive in the NFL.

Author: Contributing Writer Chet Cashley of ChetCashley.com The Philadelphia Eagles have the most explosive offense in the National Football League in 2011.  Hands down.  End of story. That’s a bold statement, I know, so I’ll back it up. The Eagles have maintained their 2010 starting offensive roster, and made improvements in the depth chart where necessary.  That same …

Is Returning to Camp Worth It for DeSean Jackson?

Author: Contributing Writer Chet Cashley of ChetCashley.com Ask any professional athlete how much money they’d give to win a championship in their sport.  Their answer is a reasonable determinant of their commitment to win.  As a coach or a player, nothing compares to a locker room full of guys who have a “win at whatever cost” attitude. …

How Does the Probable 2011 Eagles Secondary Compare with past defensive stars Dawkins, Taylor, Harris, and Vincent?

Author: Contributing Writer Chet Cashley of ChetCashley.com Intensity.  Electricity.  Dominance.  These are the words that best describe the legendary Philadelphia Eagles defensive backfield of the 2001 and 2002 seasons.  The foursome instilled fear in the hearts of quarterbacks and receivers across the league as they shut down passing attacks drive-after-drive, game-after-game. The Philadelphia Eagles have …
