18. Miami   (4-10, 0-3) NET – 181 RPI – 290

Last Week: 18

Miami has 1 win since mid-November. That’s 10 losses in 11 games and counting. They host FSU and Wake Forest this week.

17. Virginia Tech (6-8, 1-2) NET – 195, RPI – 208

Last Week: 17

In a battle for the bottom of the ACC, Virginia Tech beat Miami by 1. They have their own west coast coast swing Stanford and Cal this week.

16. Syracuse (6-8, 0-3) NET – 163, RPI – 162

Last Week: 15

Syracuse is losers of 4 of their last 5 games. They are 1-8 against the Q1-Q3.

15. Notre Dame (7-7, 1-2) NET – 100, RPI – 171

Last Week : 14

Notre Dame has lost 7 of their last 9 games. The go to NC State and Duke this week.

14. Boston College (9-6, 1-3) NET – 219, RPI – 184

Last Week: 13

Boston College got crushed at Georgia Tech. They host Syracuse on Saturday.

13. California  (7-7, 0-3) NET – 118, RPI – 136

Last Week: 12

Like Stanford, Cal has lost three games in a row to NCAA teams – San Diego State, Pitt and Clemson. They host Virginia and Virginia Tech this week.

12. Georgia Tech (8-7, 2-2) NET – 138, RPI – 225

Last Week: 16

Georgia Tech is our biggest mover of the week. They’ve won 3 in a row, with two double digit wins over Notre Dame and Boston College. The Jackets could be spoiler in the ACC. They are starting to play well.

11. Virginia (8-6, 1-2) NET – 117, RPI – 83

Last Week: 10

Virginia heads out to a tricky west coast swing with Cal and Stanford. If they could somehow get a sweep, it could change the outlook of the season.

10. NC State (8-6, 1-2) NET – 116, RPI – 168

Last week:  9

If NC State is going to make a move, it better start this week by getting wins over Notre Dame and UNC at home.

9. Stanford (9-5, 1-2) NET – 84, RPI – 80

Last Week: 8

Stanford has lost three straight games – all to NCAA caliber teams Oregon, Pitt and Clemson. A sweep of Virginia Tech and Virginia is a must.

8. Florida State (10-4, 1-2) NET – 78, RPI – 63

Last Week: 11

Florida States’ computer numbers aren’t awful, but they need a big week. A sweep of Miami and Clemson would do wonders.

7. Wake Forest (11-4, 3-1) NET – 86, RPI- 53

Last week: 7

Wake Forest needs more quality wins, but they are taking care of business. They need to win at Miami this week.

6. UNC  (9-6, 2-1) NET – 44, RPI – 27

Last Week: 5

UNC was seconds from the season falling apart if they had lost at Notre Dame. They hung on,and the Heels stay on right side of bubble. A sweep of SMU and NC State this week would really help.

5. SMU (11-3, 2-1) NET – 42, RPI – 48

Last Week: 4

SMU was no match for Duke this past week. Now they go to UNC, and host Georgia Tech this week. If they get swept, they are off the bubble. They need no worse than a split.

4. Louisville  (10-5, 3-1) NET – 40, RPI – 20

Last Week: 6

Louisville is playing their best basketball in years, and are on a 4 game winning streak including double digit wins over UNC and Virginia this week. A home game with Clemson is a big chance at a quality win. Then they go to Pitt. A sweep would be great, but a split is acceptable.

3. Clemson (12-3, 4-0) NET – 37, RPI – 30

Last Week: 3

Clemson has won their last three games by double digits. A game at Louisville will be one of the better ACC matchups of the year. Then Clemson gets Florida State in Littlejohn.

2. Pittsburgh (12-2, 3-0) NET – 14, RPI – 13

Last Week: 2

Pitt is playing well having won 5 games in a row, but a game at Duke will be another level. Then improving Louisville comes to Pitt .

1. Duke (12-2, 4-0) NET – 3, RPI – 7

Last Week: 1

As we expected, Duke is just marching through the ACC destroying teams. A game at SMU was likely one of their tougher games on paper and the Blue Devils won by 27. They host a good Pitt team this week, and then Notre Dame.
