We’ll start adding NET and RPI rankings once there are enough data points.
18. Miami (3-7, 0-1)
Last Week: 18
The losing streak for Miami has hit 7 games. The losing has to stop with Presbyterian right?
17. Virginia Tech (3-6, 0-1)
Last Week: 17
Virginia Tech started 3-0 and hasn’t won since. I think the losing streak stops against North Carolina A&T and Navy. Maybe the Hokies can start something positive this week.
16. Georgia Tech (4-5, 0-1)
Last Week: 16
Georgia Tech doesn’t have a single win that isn’t Q4. Northwestern is their last gasp to salvage the OOC season.
15. Syracuse (5-4, 0-1)
Last Week: 14
Could a win over old Big East Rival Georgetown jumpstart the season for Syracuse?
14. Notre Dame (5-5, 1-0)
Last Week : 15
Notre Dame took out Syracuse to start the ACC 1-0. Dartmouth should be another win this week.
13. Boston College (6-4, 0-1)
Last Week: 13
Boston College has lost three games in a row and has lost some early-season momentum. Stonehill is this week.
12. California (6-4, 0-1)
Last Week: 6
I thought Cal had the ability to make the NCAA tournament. They nearly won at Missouri, but losing to Stanford at home left a mark. Then they lose to Cornell at home. Northwestern State is this week.
11. Florida State (7-3, 0-1)
Last Week: 10
Florida State hasn’t beaten anyone of note, so better not lose to either Tulane or Winthrop this week.
10. Virginia (5-4, 0-1)
Last Week: 8
That Villanova win is starting to look better and better. Too bad Virginia hasn’t been able to add anything to it. Bethune-Cookman is this week.
9. NC State (7-3, 1-0)
Last week: 9
NC State beat Coppin State, but then it is a game at Kansas. NC State needs quality wins and Kansas would be a monster win if they could get it.
8. Louisville (5-4, 0-1)
Last Week: 5
Louisville is certainly better than the last couple of couple of years, but they’ve lost three games in row. UTEP and Kentucky are this week.
7. Stanford (8-2, 1-0)
Last Week: 12
Stanford has a good record, but they lack quality wins. Merrimack won’t count as that, but Oregon is on the horizon on December 21st.

6. SMU (8-2, 1-0)
Last Week: 11
SMU gas been flying under the radar, but if they beat LSU we will take notice.
5. UNC (5-4, 1-0)
Last Week: 3
UNC is closer to the bubble than they should be. Beating Georgia Tech by 3 at home really doesn’t instill much confidence that UNC is moving in the right direction. Maybe Lasalle and Florida this week will change our minds.
4. Pittsburgh (8-2, 1-0)
Last Week: 1
Pittsburgh did enough good work in the non-conference they are fine, but I was surprised they got thumped at Mississippi State by 33. Eastern Kentucky is this week.
3. Wake Forest (8-3, 1-0)
Last week: 4
Wake Forest’s win over Michigan is turning into one of the best OOC wins in the ACC this year. James Madison is this week.
2. Clemson (9-1, 1-0)
Last Week: 7
In a disaster of a ACC/SEC challenge, Duke and Clemson did their part beating top 5 SEC Teams. Clemson took out Kentucky and is deservedly now in the top 20. Memphis is another chance to build their non-conference resume. Then they play at South Carolina.
1. Duke (8-2, 1-0)
Last Week: 2
Duke beating a really good Auburn team, proved to me that the Blue Devils are ready to be the team many think they are capable of being, and that’s one that can win the national title. Most of the rest of the ACC is in big trouble. George Mason is this week.
