The ACC’s three biggest questions of week 14.

The three biggest ACC football questions of the week. Here we go for Week 14.

Can Syracuse upset Miami?

You bet they can. Syracuse QB Kyle McCord can light up defenses, and in the JMA Wireless Dome, I could easily see Syracuse putting up 30-40 points on Miami. On the other hand, Miami with QB Cam Ward and their offense will put up a ton of points. The Orange won’t stop them either. What happened to Miami against Georgia Tech won’t happen here, but they can lose this game. I think it would be a real sign of maturity if Miami could take care of Syracuse. This is an extremely dangerous game for the Canes.

What must Clemson do to beat South Carolina?

In every game, South Carolina lost they gave up more than 130 yards on the ground. For the year they only are giving up 103. Clemson averages nearly 140 yards rushing. Clemson must absolutly be able to run the ball with Phil Mafah and the emerging Jay Haynes. The Tiger’s passing game is not equipped to carry the offense alone. Of course, Clemson has to limit turnover and mistakes, but their ability to run the ball will be key. There’s not a lot on the line just your biggest rival and potential playoff spot at stake for both teams.

How important is it that Louisville beats Kentucky?

When you look at the rivalry games this week even if Florida State beats Florida, it won’t salvage the season. It would just take a bit of the edge off. Georgia Tech has already navigated a very difficult schedule into a bowl game. Beating Georgia would just be a bonus. It doesn’t make or break the season, though it sure would be nice. The stakes between Clemson and South Carolina have already been discussed, but this is big for Jeff Brohm and Louisville in their matchup with Kentucky. The Cardinals have been such an up-and-down team. They go into this game on a 5 game-losing streak to the Wildcats. They sit 7-4, and Kentucky is 4-7. Louisville would have a tough time living this one down if they lose. This is a huge.
