2024 Week 12 ACC Football Power Rankings

ACC Team of the Week : Stanford – for a 38-35 win over Louisville

17. Florida State (1-9)

Last Week: 17

FSU’s next opponent Charleston Southern has just 1 victory through nearly 3 months of football – just like Florida State.

16. Stanford  (3-7)

Last Week: 16

Stanford’s stunning win over Louisville doesn’t move the Cards in these rankings, but it ensures that Florida  State will finish the year as the worst team in the ACC.

15. Wake Forest (4-6)

Last Week: 15

Poor Wake Forest is the team that faces one angry set of Hurricanes coming of a BYE week after losing their first game. This could get really ugly.

14. Virginia Tech (5-5)

Last Week: 14

The season is teetering for Virginia Tech. If they lose at surging Duke, they’ll need a win in the finale over Virginia to make a bowl.

13. NC State (5-5)

Last Week: 13

NC State heads to Georgia Tech on a Thursday night. The Jackets have been solid at home, and are starting to get healthy again.

12. Virginia  (5-5)

Last Week: 12

Can Virginia knock off SMU at home? The Mustangs better be ready to keep their eye on the ACC Title game prize.

11. Boston College (5-5)

Last Week: 10

Boston College has lost 4 of their last 5 games and now gets a UNC team starting to play some pretty good football.

10. California  (5-5)

Last Week: 8

Cal is looking for the second ACC win against their arch-rival Stanford. Stanford is coming off a stunning win over Louisville.

9. Syracuse (7-3)

Last week: 11

Syracuse took care of Cal this past week. UConn is no pushover and comes in 7-3 with close losses to Duke and Wake Forest.

8. North Carolina (6-4)

Last Week: 9

North Carolina has won 3 games in a row. They have a real chance at an 8-4 regular season and it could begin with Boston College this weekend.

7. Louisville (6-4)

Last Week: 3

Louisville has a disastrous performance in a 38-35 loss to Stanford that few saw coming. Their game with Pitt will be a matchup of two teams going in the wrong direction.

6. Pitt (7-3)

Last week:  7

Pitt has lost three games in a row after a 7-0 start. I still think they are one of the ACC’s better teams, but the season could come completely off the rails if they lose at Louisville.

5. Georgia Tech (6-4)

Last Week : 6

Around this time last year, Georgia Tech started playing some really good football. Can they follow up that Miami win with another victory over NC State?

4. Duke (7-3)

Last Week: 5

Duke has a shot at going 9-3. To get to 8-3 first though they have to beat Virginia Tech who they host on Saturday.

3. Clemson (8-2)

Last Week: 4

Clemson has recovered from their loss to Louisville with 2 road wins over Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh. This week should be solid prep for their game against South Carolina when they faceoff with the Citadel.

2. Miami (9-1)

Last Week: 2

Miami gets Wake Forest this week as they try to right the ship after their loss to Georgia Tech. I think Wake Forest is in big trouble.

1. SMU  (9-1)

Last Week: 1

SMU keeps marching along, but now is no time to let up. The game at Virginia is a tricky one. The Hoos are dangerous enough to cause the Mustang issues.
