Miami’s offense continues to be the country’s best.

Say what you will about Miami’s defense. It’s a suspect unit, with a high ranking mostly based on some early season success. In ACC play any offense not named Florida State has moved the ball on them. Even 107 ranked offense Duke rolled up 400+ yards and and 31 points. That Cam Ward led Miami offense though, it is spectacular at the moment, and the country’s best offensive unit. It is also ranked #1 in the nation if you have any doubts.

Down 28-17 in the second half, and Miami outscored Duke 36-3 the rest of the way. Duke has a quality top 40 defense, that forced 6 turnovers last week against top 25 SMU. Saturday 53 points and 526 yards later, they are picking up the pieces of being shredded by Miami 53-31.

QB Cam Ward is going to be a Heisman finalist and in NYC barring injury. If you don’t have him in your top 3 of Heisman candidates you simply aren’t watching the games.  He had another 5 TDS today and 400 yards passing Saturday.

Florida State held them to 36 points, their lowest point total of the year. WOW

Miami was fortunate to escape some games earlier in the year, but they have wontheir last two games by more than 3 TDS.

With a finishing schedule of at Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and at Syracuse, the Miami defense will again be tested. If QB Haynes King is healthy the Jacket’s offense can be formidable. Syracuse has Kyle McCord at QB, and weapons on offense, but in any of these three games how are you going to stop Cam Ward and that offense?

It’s humming and is probably going to send Miami into the ACC Title game and the playoffs.
