2024 Week 7 ACC Football Power Rankings

ACC Team of the Week : Louisville – for a 24-20 win over Virginia

17. Florida State (1-5)

Last Week: 17

No reason to move Florida State off the bottom of this list right now –  worst record in the ACC, worst team. A game at Duke could send FSU to 1-6. I do like some of the things QB Brock Glenn showed against Clemson though.

16. North Carolina (3-4)

Last Week: 16

North Carolina gave up another 41 points and a whopping 350 yards+ on the ground to Georgia Tech. Here is a hint for what UNC should work on during the BYE week – the defense.

15. Stanford  (2-4)

Last Week: 15

Stanford looked completely overmatched against Notre Dame. There’s plenty of time for Stanford to reach the bottom of this list.

14. NC State (3-4)

Last Week: 14

NC State had a couple of good moments against Syracuse, but make no mistake the Wolfpack are bad, real bad. California is next.

13. Wake Forest (2-4)

Last Week: 13

Wake Forest just wasn’t equipped to play with Clemson. If Wake Forest wants any shot at a bowl, they have to beat UCONN this week.

12. Virginia Tech (3-3)

Last Week: 12

Virginia Tech has a big game this week for their bowl hopes against Boston College. That will be a good gauge of where the Hokies are truly at.

11. California  (3-3)

Last Week: 11

Cal is 8 points from being undefeated, but if they lose to NC State this week, their bowl hopes will take a massive hit. That’s how small the margins of a great season are to missing a bowl game.

10. Boston College (4-2)

Last Week: 10

Boston College had a week to prep for a game at Virginia Tech. That’s a pretty pivotal game for bowl pecking order in the ACC.

9. Virginia  (4-2)

Last Week: 9

Virginia really had a chance this week to raise eyebrows, but lost a close game to Louisville. Now they head to Clemson to play a Tiger team that is mowing down opponents.

8. Duke (5-1)

Last Week: 8

Duke has had 2 weeks to get ready for reeling FSU on Friday night. That game could get them bowl-eligible already.

7. Georgia Tech (5-2)

Last Week : 7

Georgia Tech took everything UNC had and still left with a 41-34 win. Now the real question is QB Haynes King’s health as they ready for Notre Dame.

6. Louisville (4-2)

Last Week: 6

Louisville is more than good enough to knock off Miami this week. The Canes better not play with fire in this one.

5. Syracuse (5-1)

Last week: 5

Syracuse is a surprising 5-1 after a win at NC State. The game at Pittsburgh on Thursday 10/24 is now huge.

4. SMU  (5-1)

Last Week: 4

SMU looks to stay undefeated with a road trip to Stanford this week coming off a BYE Week.

3. Pitt (6-0)

Last week:  3

Pitt made it to the midpoint of the season undefeated. Now they get an extra week to get ready for a solid Syracuse team.

2. Clemson (5-1)

Last Week: 2

Clemson is destroying everything in their path since the loss to Georgia. Virginia is the next team in their way.

1. Miami (6-0)

Last Week: 1

Miami’s game with Louisville is extremely dangerous, especially with the way the Cane’s defense has been playing, which has not been good.
