The ACC’s three biggest questions of week 4.

The three biggest ACC football questions of the week. Here we go for Week 4.

Is Louisville for real?

Louisville hasn’t played a team with a single win this season. Jacksonville State and Austin Peay are a combined 0-6, and only one of their losses was by less than 14 points. Louisville has dominated them on their way to a top 20 ranking. Georgia Tech on the other hand is 3-1 with only a 3-point loss at Syracuse. This is a massive upgrade in competition for Louisville, and frankly, I liken them to Missouri who won their first two games 89-0 before Boston College pushed them in a 27-21 victory. Then right after Georgia Tech is a trip to Notre Dame. I think the Cards will survive due to a highly suspect Georgia Tech defense, but it won’t be easy.

What if Cal beats FSU?

If Cal beats FSU, Cal would move to 4-0 and likely sets up an undefeated matchup with Miami on October 5. That would be the biggest game to hit Cal in years and could be a Gameday candidate. Florida State with a loss sinks to 0-4, and the disaster of a season continues at FSU. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested to see what Cal Twitter comes up after a win in Tallahassee. Who knew that Cal potentially winning this game would have such an impact on the season?

Can South Florida upset Miami?

This is a bit of a dangerous game for Miami. South Florida is 2-1. The 1 loss was to Alabama 42-16, but that was a 21-16 game with 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The game will be at South Florida too. This Miami team has a different feel with Cam Ward at QB, and I just can’t see South Florida winning this game without a tremendous amount of help from the Canes. The Canes move to 4-0.
