Previous and Upcoming Rankings
Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Offensive Linemen | Tight Ends | Defensive Linemen | Linebackers | Safeties | Special Teams
1) Dorian Strong, Virginia Tech
There was a time when Virginia Tech put out NFL-caliber cornerbacks like clockwork. Those days might be back as the Hokies have arguably the best cornerback pair in the ACC. It starts with Dorian Strong, who tops our list of ACC cornerbacks. Strong is the definition of a lockdown corner. Throw towards him at your own risk. Last season he had 8 pass breakups, 11 passes defended, and 3 interceptions.
He is considered one of the 10 best CBs in all of college football for 2024.
2) Aydan White, NC State
Aydan White is a returning top-5 ACC cornerback from last year, and we had him #1 last year. He’s looking to reclaim his top spot and could certainly do it. It looked like White would not be back at NC State for a few days in January, but the Wolfpack are glad he’s returning. He’s a two-time All-ACC cornerback, and he hasn’t allowed a TD in two years.
Last season he had 37 total tackles with 2 interceptions. He’s a definite NFL prospect, and looks to go anywhere from the 3rd to 5th round – maybe even higher.
3) Fentrell Cypress II, Florida State
You know you’re good you’ve been All-ACC for two different ACC teams. Fentrell Cypress II was an All-ACC caliber player at Virginia 2 years ago. Last season he was an honorable mention All-ACC player at Florida State. In 2023 he had 40 tackles with 8 pass breakups.
He’s an athletic player, and is considered a late-round NFL pick. Cypress made our top 5 CB list last year as well.
4) Quincy Riley, Louisville
Last season Quincy Riley emerged as one of the ACC’s best cornerbacks with an honorable mention All-ACC season. He had 45 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions season. Riley could have come out last season, and been an NFL pick, but Louisville fans were thrilled when he returned.
Riley has added weight in spring which should make him a more physical CB. The talent is apparent, and he’s projected to be a Day 2 NFL pick.
5) Mansoor Delane, Virginia Tech
Mansoor Delane joins Dorian Strong as an elite cornerback tandem. Delane was also on the top 5 CB list last season. He’s a good one and has been for a while. In 2022 he was dotted several freshman All-American teams, and in 2023 had a solid season with 54 tackles, 9 pass breakups, and 11 passes defended.
