It was quite an opening day of the NCAA Baseball Regional. I went to Clemson vs High Point, and saw Clemson earn a hard-fought, but stirring walk-off win against a scrappy High Point team. It was a full house and a great environment at Clemson peaking in those intense final innings.
The ACC was on the verge of a disastrous start with UNC and Clemson on the ropes late in their games, but in the end they pulled out wins giving the ACC a respectable, but still somewhat shaky 5-3 start. Duke and Wake Forest were upset losses, and Georgia Tech continues to play terrible baseball in the post-season going back to the ACC tournament. All the ACC regional hosts won UNC, Clemson, FSU, Virginia and NC State
