The votes are in. In a sea of bad takes, missed predictions, and downright trashing of the ACC, college basketball fans have decided which basketball media member was the most wrong about the ACC.
….and the winner is ESPN’s bracketologist Joe Lunardi!
Who was the most wrong about ACC basketball this year?

What gave the Lunardi the edge over the others? For a large portion of the year, Lunardi had the ACC getting 3 total bids, but I think it was the unprovoked direct attacks on ACC schools.
The line with a 343 NonConf SOS must have gotten cut off on my screen. https://t.co/lbUO4LdKZr

Congrats Pack! But let’s not let the facts get in the way of a good story. The 2019 team has the worst NonConf SOS in America (353). It was never getting a bubble bid. https://t.co/OydMoyHSur

Jon Rothstein said the MWC was better than ACC which was laughable, but it was this gem calling the ACC a potential 2 bid league that led him to the second-place finish.
Another unintended consequence of today’s ending between Duke and Clemson?
The possibility of the ACC only getting two teams in the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday just increased.

3rd place finisher Seth Davis was still calling the ACC a 3-bid league as recently as last week.
The ACC has 15 teams and got four bids. Probably should have gotten three. Only one of those teams is as bad as the ones you mentioned. Are you even more outraged about that?
If you don’t like being a bubble team don’t be on the bubble. https://t.co/9pLepJhI2e

Jeff Goodman ended up 4th, as he took his shots early in the year.
I’m old enough to remember when @T_Oglesby22 said the ACC is the second-best conference in the country!!! https://t.co/riYIYpGuF3

Honorable Mention goes to Mike DeCourcy, who felt it necessary to take aim at an Oakland team that beat Kentucky at the same time as downplaying NC State’s run, and the significance of the ACC getting 4 Sweet 16 teams.
I’m here for all the “ACC beat a Horizon League team in overtime, look how awesome we are” boasts. 😀

Congratulations to these basketball ‘experts’, who in the most tumultuous time in ACC history managed to unite the majority of ACC fanbases against them.
