15. Louisville (6-10, 1-4) NET – 233 / RPI – 270
Last Week – 15
Games at UNC and Wake Forest will make it difficult for Louisville to get out of the bottom of these rankings.
14. Georgia Tech (8-8, 1-4) NET – 133 / RPI – 101
Last Week – 14
Georgia Tech was surprisingly very competitive at Duke, but they can’t close out games and have lost 5 games in a row.
13. Notre Dame (7-11, 2-5) NET – 163 / RPI – 155
Last Week – 12
Notre Dame has lost 4 of their last 5 games, but their win at Georgia Tech keeps them out of the bottom two.
12. Boston College (11-6, 2-4) NET – 83 / RPI – 77
Last Week – 11
If Boston College could beat UNC at home, it would give their season a shot in the arm.
11. Pittsburgh (10-6, 1-4) NET – 65 / RPI – 124
Last Week – 10
The season is rapidly slipping way from Pittsburgh. They play Syracuse and Duke this week.
10. Syracuse (10-5, 2-3) NET – 81 / RPI – 20
Last Week – 9
Syracuse needs to make a move now. If they sweep Pittsburgh and Miami that would help alot.
9. Virginia Tech (10-6, 2-3) NET – 51 / RPI – 56
Last Week – 8
Virginia Tech has the right OOC resume with top 50 wins over Iowa State and Boise State to make the NCAAs. Now they need to get that ACC record to .500. Road games at Virginia and NC State won’t make it easy.
8. Virginia (11-5, 2-3) NET – 63 / RPI – 63
Last Week – 7
Virginia is slipping off the NCAA radar. They must get both Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech this week.
7. Florida State (10-6, 4-1) NET – 98 / RPI – 55
Last Week – 12
Florida State is surging, and is quietly 4-3 against the Q1 and Q2. If they can split games with Miami and Clemson that would keep the momentum going.
6. NC State (12-4, 4-1) NET – 74 / RPI – 81
Last Week – 6
NC State is not in bad shape though they lack Q1 wins. A sweep of Wake Forest and Virginia Tech would have them 14-4 (6-1) and that’s in the NCAAs next week.
NCAA CUTLINE
————————————————————————————————————————————-
5. Wake Forest (12-4, 4-1) NET – 46 / RPI – 38
Last Week – 5
Wake Forest has lost once since November 19. Stealing a road game at NC State would be huge.
4. Miami (12-4, 3-2) NET – 57 / RPI – 57
Last Week – 4
Miami helped make up for that Louisville loss with a win at Virginia Tech. They host hot FSU this week, and then head to Syracuse.
3. Clemson (12-4, 2-3) NET – 27 / RPI – 7
Last Week – 3
Clemson looked a little more like themselves at home against BC. Don’t slip up Georgia Tech or FSU this week.
2. Duke (13-3, 4-1) NET – 14 / RPI – 40
Last Week – 2
Duke will likely extend their winning streak to 9 games after hosting Pittsburgh this week.
1. UNC (13-3, 5-0) NET – 7 / RPI – 9
Last Week – 1
I don’t foresee UNC losing their first ACC game against Louisville or Boston College. They are rolling.
