January 2, 2024 ACC Basketball Power Rankings

15. Louisville (5-7, 0-1) NET – 259 / RPI – 314

Last Week – 15

Louisville has to play at an angry bunch of Virginia Cavaliers this week.

14. Florida State (6-6, 0-1) NET – 142 / RPI – 125

Last Week – 13

Florida State took a devastating loss to Lipscomb this past week, but Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech better not assume victory in Tallahassee this week.

13.  Notre Dame (6-7, 1-1) NET – 184 / RPI – 152

Last Week – 14

Notre Dame stunned Virginia in a massive upset. They could dent another ACC team’s resume if they beat either NC State or Duke.

12. Boston College (9-3, 0-1) NET – 75 / RPI – 75

Last Week – 12

Now we’re at the teams that can make the postseason. BC has a big week ahead with Wake Forest then a trip to Georgia Tech.

11. NC State (9-3, 1-0) NET – 68 / RPI – 76

Last Week – 11

If NC State gets a sweep of Notre Dame and Virginia this week, that could get them on the bubble.

10. Virginia Tech (9-4, 1-1) NET – 62 / RPI – 59

Last Week – 8

Virginia Tech better not sleep on that game at Florida State

9. Georgia Tech (8-4, 1-0) NET – 110 / RPI – 41

Last Week – 7

In the last month, Georgia Tech has looked like an NCAA team. A sweep of FSU and BC would go a long way.

8. Virginia (10-3, 1-1) NET – 54 / RPI – 47

Last Week – 4

Virginia took a resume-wrecking loss to Notre Dame. They really need to win against Louisville and NC State to get back on track.

7. Wake Forest (9-3, 1-0) NET – 64 / RPI – 56

Last Week – 10

Wake Forest has won 7 games in a row. Make it 9 a row at BC and against Miami and that would be huge.

6. Pittsburgh (9-4, 0-2) NET – 41 / RPI – 82

Last Week – 6

Pittsburgh has decent computer numbers, and not enough quality wins, but winning against UNC at home would be huge.

5. Syracuse (9-3, 1-1) NET – 78 / RPI – 16

Last Week – 9

Syracuse probably isn’t winning at Duke, but if they did – watch out!

4. Miami (10-2, 1-0) NET – 51 / RPI – 35

Last Week – 5

Miami gets a huge chance with Clemson coming to town this week.

3. Duke (9-3, 0-1) NET – 21 / RPI – 66

Last Week – 4

Can Duke win their 5th and 6th games in a row with Syracuse and a game at now-dangerous Notre Dame?

2. UNC (9-3, 1-0) NET – 20 / RPI – 29

Last Week – 2

North Carolina has a gigantic week with games between Pittsburgh and Clemson.

1. Clemson (11-1, 1-0) NET – 8 / RPI – 1

Last Week – 1

Clemson is 5-1 against the Q1 and Q2. If they beat Miami and UNC this week, we could be talking about them being a #1 seed and the ACC favorite.
