December 26, 2023 ACC Basketball Power Rankings

15. Louisville (5-7, 0-1) NET – 262 / RPI – 320

Last Week – 15

Louisville got ripped to pieces by ESPN analysts after an ugly loss to Kentucky. That says a lot about where this program is.

14.  Notre Dame (5-7, 0-1) NET – 240 / RPI – 188

Notre Dame is already relegated to the role of spoiler. They host Virginia this week.

Last Week – 14

13. Florida State (6-5, 0-1) NET – 124 / RPI – 97

Last Week – 13

FSU gets Lipscomb at home, and that should be their third win in a row.

12. Boston College (9-3, 0-1) NET – 74 / RPI – 85

Last Week – 13

Boston College would love to have that home loss to NC State from a couple of weeks ago back. They really dig a hole if they lose to Wake Forest at home.

11. NC State (9-3, 1-0) NET – 70 / RPI – 74

Last Week – 11

7 of NC State’s are of the Q4 variety. Their resume looks really similar to Wake Forest’s.

10. Wake Forest (8-3, 0-0) NET – 83 / RPI – 98

Last Week – 9

Wake Forest has 6 Q4 wins. Their resume needs quality wins.

9. Syracuse (8-3, 0-1) NET – 75 / RPI – 17

Last Week – 8

Getting Pittsburgh at home is an early must-win for a Syracuse team with just 1 Q1 or Q2 win.

8. Virginia Tech (9-3, 1-0) NET – 50 / RPI – 48

Last Week – 10

The Hokies have won 4 games in a row, and the win over Iowa State keeps gaining value. A game at Wake Forest would be a potential resume booster.

7. Georgia Tech (8-4, 1-0) NET – 114 / RPI – 56

Last Week – 7

Georgia Tech had a solid tournament in Hawaii going 2-1. Their NET is more than 70 spots behind Pitt, but they have 3 Q1/Q2 wins. This is a much-improved team over the last month.

6. Pittsburgh (9-3, 0-1) NET – 39 / RPI – 81

Last Week – 6

Pitt is an interesting case. Their NET ranking is decent, but they don’t have a Q1 or Q2 win. A victory at Syracuse would be big.

5. Miami (9-2, 1-0) NET – 61 / RPI – 35

Last Week – 5

Miami should get to 10-2 with North Florida this week.

4. Virginia (9-2, 1-0) NET – 37 / RPI – 22

Last Week – 3

Virginia has a good resume, but Memphis ran them off the court in the 2nd half. The Hoos are good but seem to have a ceiling.

3. Duke (8-3, 0-1) NET – 18 / RPI – 53

Last Week – 4

Duke looked solid and beat a strong Baylor team. The win over Michigan State keeps looking better as well.

2. UNC (8-3, 1-0) NET – 26 / RPI – 21

Last Week – 2

UNC cruised to a double-digit win over previously unbeaten Oklahoma. When the Heels are on, they are Top 10 good.

1. Clemson (10-1, 1-0) NET – 12 / RPI – 2

Last Week – 1

Radford is a bit of a trap game Friday before Clemson gets into their conference season. Clemson needs to pay attention to that one.
