We’ll be adding NET and RPI rankings when those computer numbers have more data points.
15. Notre Dame (3-4, 0-1) NET/RPI – NA
I haven’t seen anything from Notre Dame that says they’ll be factor in this year’s ACC.
Last Week – 14
14. Louisville (4-4, 0-1) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 15
Louisville is actually considerably better than last year, but how could they not be? They are still near the bottom of the ACC.
13. Boston College (6-3, 0-1) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 12
The gap from Boston College to Louisville is big. I think these teams even further down the list can cause trouble. BC looked good at Vanderbilt in an 18 point win.
12. Wake Forest (4-3, 0-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 13
Wake Forest is on a modest two game winning streak. The win over Florida was solid, and if they beat Rutgers this week the Deacs may have something.
11. Florida State (4-3, 0-1) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 11
If Florida State could hold second half leads they’d be a top 25 team. There’s potential if they could figure out how to close out games. Blowing a 17 point 2nd lead against Georgia cost the Noles critical win.
10. Virginia Tech (6-3, 1-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 9
It’s feast or famine when it comes to Virginia Tech. It all depends on their perimeter shooting.
9. NC State (5-2, 1-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 7
NC State is a 5-2, and at times look great, and at others? The resume is kind of light to be honest.
8. Syracuse (6-3, 0-1) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 8
Syracuse is either a 20 point win or 20 point loss waiting to happen. A game with Georgetown this week brings back some memories.
7. Georgia Tech (4-3, 1-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 10
Georgia Tech has a couple of ugly losses, but they also just had an amazing week beating back to back ranked Mississippi State and ranked Duke. They looked out of gas against Georgia.
6. Pittsburgh (5-3, 0-1) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 6
Pittsburgh has lost 3 of their last 4, and been kind of a disappointment. If they lose at 3-4 West Virginia time to hit the panic button.
5. Duke (5-3, 0-1) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 2
Duke has real issues on the glass. Losing at Arkansas was surprising, losing at at Georgia Tech set off fire alarms.
4. Miami (6-1, 1-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 1
Miami was cruising then they got blown out at Kentucky. I still like Miami long term.
3. Virginia (8-1, 1-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 3
Virginia is building a solid resume, and the Wisconsin loss can be forgiven.
2. UNC (7-2, 1-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 5
North Carolina has picked up recent high quality wins against Arkansas and Tennessee. The UCONN game proved UNC still has work to national title contendor.
1. Clemson (7-0, 1-0) NET/RPI – NA
Last Week – 4
Clemson won at Alabama, then at Pittsburgh. They’ve played the most consistent basketball in the ACC, and are the conference’s only undefeated team.
