The ACC’s three biggest questions of week 14

We ask the three biggest ACC football question marks of that week. Here we go for Week 14

Does Louisville recover from the mess of a loss to Kentucky?

When Louisville lost to Pitt, their next 3 games were at home where until Saturday they undefeated. Losing the way they did will be very difficult to recover from. Had they beat Kentucky, I would have given Louisville a 50/50 shot at beating Florida State. Not only did they not beat Kentucky, they fell apart, with multiple defensive and special teams breakdowns in the 2nd half against an offensively challenged team. FSU is playing to get in the playoff, already survived a massive test at Florida. I’m not saying Louisville can’t win the game, but their chances went way down after Saturday.

Can Florida State get their passing game in order?

Florida State had a paltry 134 passing yards against Florida. They rode a stellar defensive performance and the running of Trey Benson to beat the Gators. I think they’ll need more out of Rodemaker to beat Louisville. This will Rodemaker’s third game he will get significant time in, and I do believe we’ll start to see Rodemaker get more comfortable in the offense.

What’s the Final Score of the ACCCG?

Florida State 31 Louisville 20

Louisville will put good fight and the game will be competitive. They will be able to get some plays in the passing game, but FSU’s defense hasn’t given up more than 20 points since mid September, and not a single team has score more than 30 on the Noles defense this year. Early in the year, FSU’s D was a bit suspect, but they’ve really turned into a solid consistent unit that is simply shutting down opponents. Florida State wins an ACC title and heads to playoffs.
