2023 Week 13 ACC Football Power Rankings

14. Wake Forest (4-8, 1-7)

Last Week – 14

Wake Forest won 1 game after mid September. This was not a Dave Clawson type year, and Deacs end up the conference’s worst team.

13. Pittsburgh (3-9, 2-6)

Last Week – 12

Pittsburgh suffered their worst season under Pat Narduzzi. Is it just a hiccup or is the program headed towards a prolonged decline?

12. Virginia (3-9, 2-6)

Last Week – 11

Virginia didn’t even compete in stunningly bad effort against their arch rival Virginia Tech. Now there are more questions than answers going into next season. Tony Elliot’s seat will be warm.

11. Syracuse (6-6, 2-6)

Last Week – 13

Syracuse ends the season with a win over Wake Forest. Dino Babers might be gone, but Syracuse will be bowling.

10. Boston College (6-6, 3-5)

Last Week – 9

Boston College was at 6-3 and never won again. Jeff Hafley needs a bowl win in the worst way.

9. Miami (7-5, 3-5)

Last Week – 10

Miami showed signs of life towards the end of the season. They played well blowing out Boston College. Now they await their bowl destination.

8. Virginia Tech (6-6, 5-3)

Last Week – 8

Virginia Tech was on a mission at Virginia to get bowl-eligible. The 55-17 destruction of Virginia, is another positive step in Bent Pry’s second year.

7. Duke (7-5, 4-4)

Last Week – 7

Duke lost HC Mike Elko to Texas A&M in a move that wasn’t a surprise. The Blue Devils are still going bowling, and hopefully, Riley Leonard is back for them.

6. North Carolina (8-4, 4-4)

Last Week – 5

North Carolina went 8-4, but after getting walloped by NC State – you have to wonder has Mack Brown has reached his ceiling at UNC?

5. Georgia Tech (6-6, 5-3)

Last Week – 6

Georgia Tech lost but for the first time in years got to the 4th quarter with Georgia. The offensive line moved Georgia’s front around as well as any team this year. A bowl win would be icing on the cake for this year.

4. Louisville (10-2, 7-1)

Last Week – 2

Louisville who had been so good at home, collapsed in the 2nd half in an ugly loss to a bad Kentucky team. That’s not how you want to play heading to Charlotte.

3. Clemson (8-4, 4-4)

Last Week – 4

Clemson finished November 4-0, and beat South Carolina without scoring a TD in a satisfying victory.

2. NC State (9-3, 6-2)

Last Week – 3

NC State won their last 5 games even with a change in QB, and looked great against North Carolina. Dave Doeren has done a wonderful job in the 2nd half of the season.

1. Florida State (12-0, 8-0)

Last Week – 1

Florida State went to The Swamp spotted Florida a double-digit lead and won going away. I think the Noles will be brimming with confidence next week at the ACCCG. They win they’ll make playoffs.
