2023 Week 13 ACC Football Power Rankings

14. Wake Forest (4-7, 1-6)

Last Week – 11

The season has gone off the rails for Wake Forest losers of 7 of their last 8 games. They can spoil Syracuses bowl chances in their last game of the season.

13. Syracuse (5-6, 1-6)

Last Week – 13

Syracuse showed life at Georgia Tech, but ran out of gas. It ended up costing Dino Babers his job. The Cuse can still reach a bowl if they beat Wake Forest.

12. Pittsburgh (3-8, 2-5)

Last Week – 14

Pittsburgh beat Boston College in a mild surprise. There will be no bowl for Pitt this year. They finish the season at Duke.

11. Virginia (3-8, 2-5)

Last Week – 12

Virginia is a much better team than their 3-8 record. If they beat Virginia Tech in their final game of the year, there will be some optimism going into next year, as well as joy at denying the Hokies a bowl game.

10. Miami (6-5, 2-5)

Last Week – 10

Miami played an inspired game, but it wasn’t enough to beat Louisville. They will head to Boston College to end the regular season.

9. Boston College (6-5, 3-4)

Last Week – 8

Boston College is limping to the finish line. They were blown out two weeks ago against Virginia Tech, then it was a listless effort in losing to Pitt. A win over Miami would go a long way.

8. Virginia Tech (5-6, 4-3)

Last Week – 7

Virginia Tech got rolled at home to a red-hot NC State team. Chance #1 at a bowl game got away. Chance #2 will be at Virginia. Failing to reach a bowl after being so close, would be a huge disappointment.

7. Duke (6-5, 3-4)

Last Week – 6

Duke without Riley Leonard just isn’t the same team. They get Pitt at home in the season finale, and Leonard should be back in time for a bowl.

6. Georgia Tech (6-5, 5-3)

Last Week – 9

Georgia Tech has won 3 of their last 4 games including last Sautrday’s win over Syracuse to get bowl eligible. That was a huge moment for HC Brent Key and that program. Georgia is next, and thankfully Georgia Tech has already got that sixth win.

5. North Carolina (8-3, 4-3)

Last Week – 3

North Carolina is falling apart in the 2nd half of the season once again. If the Heels lose to NC State that will be one disappointing 8-4 regular season.

4. Clemson (7-4, 4-4)

Last Week – 5

Clemson took care of another ranked team this week in UNC. The earlier losses can’t be forgiven but beat South Carolina for a 4 game winning streak and Tiger fans will be feeling light years better than just a month ago.

3. NC State (8-3, 5-2)

Last Week – 4

Dave Doeren is doing as good a 2nd half-coaching job as anyone in the ACC. Even with the turnover at QB, the Wolfpack have been playing tough physical winning football. If they beat UNC, a 10 win season is possible.

2. Louisville (10-1, 7-1)

Last Week – 2

Louisville took every punch Miami could muster, and still found a way to win. The Cards are a legit top 10 team. An amazing regular season would approach the stuff of dreams if they beat Kentucky to head to Charlotte 11-1.

1. Florida State (11-0, 9-0)

Last Week – 1

FSU is 11-0, but the season ending injury to QB Jordan Travis knocked the wind out of the FSU sails. The Noles need to find a way to regroup under new QB Tate Rodemaker, defeat Florida and keep those playoff hopes alive.
