2023 Week 10 ACC Football Power Rankings

14. Pittsburgh (2-6, 1-4)

Last Week – 14

Pittsburgh got wiped out by Notre Dame 58-7, and Pat Narduzzi seemed to throw some players under the bus. For their trouble Pitt gets the Florida State freight train this week.

13. Syracuse (4-4, 0-4)

Last Week – 10

Syracuse is the ACC’s only winless team, and were just blown out at Virginia Tech. Dino Babers seat is starting to get warm. They face Boston College this week.

12. Virginia (2-6, 1-3)

Last Week – 13

Virginia is a team that’s better than their record. A week after beating UNC, they nearly won at Miami. Georgia Tech is a chance for them to get a second ACC win.

11. Wake Forest (4-4, 1-4)

Last Week – 11

Wake Forest heads on the road to face a Duke hurting after back to back losses. It’s hard to see Duke losing a 3rd straight game.

10. Clemson (4-4, 2-4)

Last Week – 9

Clemson’s loss to NC State was another mistake filled sloppy game. Good luck against Notre Dame, with Clemson’s error prone offense against a very good defense. Don’t call in ask ask Dabo about the game if the the Tigers lose.

9. Georgia Tech (4-4, 3-2)

Last Week – 12

If you can figure out Georgia Tech, let the rest of us know. They came up with their best performance of the year beating UNC 46-42 in a game they ran wild in the 4th quarter. If they can back it up at Virginia, they can start thinking bowl again.

8. Virginia Tech (4-4, 3-1)

Last Week – 8

Virginia Tech is sitting in 3rd place in the ACC, and eyeing a bowl game. This team is definitely improving but they have to head to Louisville which has been a house of horrors for road teams.

7. Boston College (5-3, 2-2)

Last Week – 6

Boston College wasn’t exactly sharp against UCONN in a 21-14 victory, but a win is a win. They can get bowl-eligible at Syracuse.

6. NC State (5-3, 2-2)

Last Week – 7

NC State still has issues offensively, but that defense is capable of keeping them in every game. The Wolfpack host Miami in an intriguing game with bowl positioning on the line.

5. North Carolina (6-2, 3-2)

Last Week – 4

North Carolina blew 4 double-digit leads at Georgia Tech, and just got run over in the 4th quarter. The Heels need to halt their 2 game-losing streak, and should be able to do against Campbell this week.

4. Duke (5-3, 2-2)

Last Week – 3

Duke’s fast start is in the rearview mirror after back-to-back losses. They got shutout against Louisville, and without a fully healthy Riley Leonard, their ceiling is much lower. They can’t sleep on Wake Forest.

3. Miami (6-2, 3-2)

Last Week – 5

Miami is just surviving games at this point, but that’s all that matters. They got by Virginia in OT, and if they get by NC State I really like their chances at a 9 or 10-win season.

2. Louisville (7-1, 4-1)

Last Week – 2

Louisville is a dominant team at home and showed it in a 23-0 victory over a pretty good Duke team. Nobody in the ACC has played as well at times as the Cardinals save Florida State. If they beat Virginia Tech at home, they can really start thinking about a December trip to Charlotte.

1. Florida State (8-0, 6-0)

Last Week – 1

Florida State is starting to just roll opponents. They should be able to easily take care of reeling Pittsburgh this week.
