We ask the three biggest ACC football question marks of that week. Here we go for Week 7.
Can Miami recover after the nightmare ending to Georgia Tech?
How do you recover from the debacle of a loss if you’re Miami? They had Georgia Tech beat, fumbled, 74 yard drive you know the rest as Georgia Tech stunned the Canes. Miami just needs to look at the Jackets at how to come back from a tough loss, as Georgia Tech put the Bowling Green loss behind them to beat Miami. So it can be done, as the Canes head to UNC. Last year Miami never recovered from the Middle Tennessee loss, so let’s see if Mario Christobal has learned anything.
How does Louisville respond after the epic Notre Dame win?
Louisville played so well and put so much emotion in thumping Notre Dame. They’ve been under the radar all season, but not anymore. They head to a desperate Pittsburgh that’s looking to save their season. This Louisville plays with a real chip on their shoulder, and they are starting to display some 2022 TCU vibes. I think the Cardinals will be able to handle the situation, but sometime Saturday night we’ll know for sure.
Can Duke beat NC State without Riley Leonard?
Riley Leonard is listed as day-to-day. He’ll be back this year, but will he be available for a tricky game with NC State? Duke really needs Leonard for this game. If he’s not available then RS Freshman Henry Belin IV would start. That’s a tough situation to put an inexperienced player in against a quality defense. Mike Elko is a great coach and will give Duke a chance with or without Leonard, but the job to beat NC State gets considerably if he’s not able to go.
