2023 Week 6 ACC Football Power Rankings

14. Virginia (0-5, 0-2)

Last Week – 14

Virginia just keeps losing and losing and they lost to Boston College this last week. If they lose to William & Mary they may not win a game this season.

13. Pittsburgh (1-4, 0-2)

Last Week – 11

Pitt isn’t just losing games, they aren’t even competitive in some of their recent losses including the last one to Virginia Tech. They get a bye week to try and reset.

12. Georgia Tech (2-3, 1-2)

Last Week – 9

Georgia Tech followed up their Wake Forest win with a complete debacle of a loss to Bowling Green. It was the kind of defeat that can wreck a season, and raise questions about a program. It was that bad. Miami is not who you want to recover against.

11. Virginia Tech (2-3, 1-0)

Last Week – 13

Virginia Tech showed some serious life against Pittsburgh in a 38-21 win. They won’t beat Florida State, but being competitive for awhile would be a good step forward.

10. Boston College (2-3, 1-2)

Last Week – 12

Boston College survived Virginia. BC sometimes looks like a decent team, and sometimes dreadful. Army will be no picnic this week.

9. Wake Forest (3-1, 0-1)

Last Week – 10

Wake Forest has to be wondering how they lost to Georgia Tech. I think they are getting an improving Clemson team at the wrong time.

8. NC State (3-2, 1-1)

Last Week – 7

I’m really surprised that Brennan Armstrong didn’t work out at QB. The offense needs a spark, and MJ Morris gets his shot at the positions. Don’t sleep on Marshall.

7. Syracuse (4-1, 0-1)

Last Week – 6

Poor Syracuse gets North Carolina, after getting thumped by Clemson.

6. Clemson (3-2, 1-2)

Last Week – 8

Clemson showed some good signs against Syracuse especially QB Cade Klubnik who is progressing nicely. I think Wake Forest is in trouble.

5. Louisville (5-0, 3-0)

Last Week – 5

Louisville gets to 5-0 after winning at NC State. The nation will watch if they can knock off Notre Dame this weekend in Louisville’s biggest home game in years.

4. Duke (4-1, 1-0)

Last Week – 3

Duke had Notre Dame beat if they could have stopped a 4th and 16, and now QB Riley Leonard could be out for awhile. The BYE week comes at a good time.

3. Miami (4-0, 1-0)

Last Week – 4

Miami got a week to prepare for a Georgia Tech team that just rolled by Bowling Green. This could get real ugly.

2. North Carolina (4-0, 1-0)

Last Week – 2

North Carolina looks to get to 5-0 with Syracuse coming to Chapel Hill.

1. Florida State (4-0, 2-0)

Last Week – 1

Florida State continues their march through the ACC with Virginia Tech this week. The BYE week should have helped QB Jordan Travis get healthy.
