We ask the three biggest ACC football question marks of that week. Here we go for Week 4.
What will it take for Clemson to beat Florida State?
Florida State has a great QB, and a great WR, and are loaded on offense. They individually have some really good players on defense. The secondary is a glaring hole though. Clemson must absolutely take advantage, and that means they they need to have a functional passing attack that exploits the Nole’s weakness. I don’t know if they can. QB Cade Klubnik has looked decent against inferior competition, but FSU’s pass rush is a different animal. Clemson can’t beat FSU any other way if they struggle to throw the ball.
Is Wake Forest must-winin for Georgia Tech to have a shot at a bowl game?
Georgia Tech is the ACC’s strangest-looking team. They were within 1 score in the 4th quarter against Louisville and Ole Miss. They lost both. The offense is getting very solid play from QB Haynes Kings, but the defense is among the worst in the ACC. The schedule is brutal, and Wake Forest is must-win for them. Where will 6 wins come without a win at Wake Forest? The Jackets already have 2 losses and still play Miami, North Carolina, Clemson and Georgia. Who put this schedule together with Ole Miss?
Can UNC take their show on the road?
North Carolina has yet to play a true road game on their to a 3-0 record. The head on the road to play reeling Pittsburgh. While the Panthers aren’t anywhere near the team we thought they’d be, this is still a decent test for the Tar Heels. UNC has answered each question so far this season. If they are the team I think, they are leaving Pittsburgh with a win.
