2023 Week 2 ACC Football Power Rankings

14. Boston College (0-1, 0-0)

Last Week – 13

It was a pretty good week for the ACC, but not for Boston College who took an embarrassing loss to Northern Illinois. Yea Jeff Hafley’s seat is roasting now.

13. Virginia (0-1, 0-0)

Last Week – 14

Virginia was just overmatched against Tennessee but had some good moments defensively. James Madison is a dangerous game for Virginia.

12. Syracuse (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 12

Syracuse has a chance to get to 2-0 against Western Michigan after shutting out Colgate.

11. Georgia Tech (0-1, 0-1)

Last Week – 10

Georgia Tech blew a chance for a big early season win against Louisville. SC State should get them back on track.

10. Virginia Tech (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 11

I like what I saw from Virginia Tech against Old Dominion. Now they need to validate that win with a victory over a Purdue team that lost to Fresno State.

9. Wake Forest (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 9

Can Wake Forest add another win for the ACC over the SEC with their game against Vanderbilt?

8. Clemson (0-1, 0-1)

Last Week – 2

These rankings aren’t based on reputation and after Monday’s beatdown by Duke, Clemson might even be too high at 8. Charleston Southern will prove nothing this weekend.

7. Louisville (1-0, 1-0)

Last Week – 8

Louisville took a good shot from Georgia Tech. Murray St. shouldn’t be a problem.

6. Miami (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 7

Miami has a major opportunity to turn some heads if they can beat Texas A&M at home.

5. Pittsburgh (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 5

Cincinnati will be a test for Pittsburgh, but if the Panthers are the team I think they are then they will take care of business.

4. NC State (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 3

Ok NC State here’s your shot. Notre Dame at high noon on ABC.

3. Duke (1-0, 1-0)

Last Week – 6

Duke beat the daylights out of Clemson 28-7, and if we’re being honest they didn’t even play that well. They could get to 4-0 before hosting Notre Dame.

2. North Carolina (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 3

Last season North Carolina and App State played an epic high-scoring game. This year after UNC’s new found defense that was on display during the Heels stuffing of South Carolina it could be a different story.

1. Florida State (1-0, 0-0)

Last Week – 1

Best team in the the ACC? Florida State might be the best team in the country after tossing aside top 5 ranked LSU Sunday. Southern Miss is in big trouble.
