Wake Forest and Virginia made emphatic statements Sunday as they marched to Omaha. They scored a whopping 34 runs against a couple of pretty good teams in Alabama and Duke.
The Deacs treated Alabama pitching like it was batting practice with 22 runs on Sunday. Virginia for their part took Duke pitching that was 3rd in the ACC, and in the last two games put up 26 runs.
Wake Forest and Virginia were 1 and 2 in the ACC in ERA, with offenses that are among the best in baseball.
I could certainly either see winning the national title, as they head to the CWS on fire.
