Garrett Shrader is probably one of the better quarterbacks in the ACC, but gets overlooked by his counterparts Drake Maye, Jordan Travis, Riley Leonard, and Cade Klubnik. Shrader and the Orange started off to a hot 6-0 start where they defeated three ACC opponents including NC State, who was ranked 15 at the time, and Virginia and Louisville to open the year. However, that 6-0 start quickly faded as the Orange lost 5 of its 6 remaining games.
Sure the Orange started off hot but a couple of injuries and miscues really turned their promising season into a substandard one.

It is another six-win season for the Orange football program. Overall the Orange go (6-6, 3-5) on the year. The Orange have talent, but not the top-level talent to hang with the powerhouses in the ACC of Clemson, FSU and UNC. They will have a slip up and fall to the Hokies in a hard-fought game and will take down the Eagles after losing four straight.
